This was a fantastic episode. The back and forth between reed and alton was really good. Really portrays both perspectives on the crack era.

1. Franklin’s mom put pressure on him to meet with the crooked politician about funding his campaign or whatever after the crooked cop slammed her head on Mel’s dad’s gravestone.

He met wit dude and donated to him, evicted the people from the *library (see 3) and the crooked politician got the crooked cop fired in exchange. But then the politician fell back after Alton did that s*** with the reporter.

2. That’s not logically impossible and he presumably got cornrows because he was in hiding for the dead kid. After Fatback takes the charge and puts the body on the dead jit who was driving ain’t no need for him to be in disguise. But in reality probably just bc of COVID filming lol

3. They wouldn’t be homeless because it was just their library ion think they lived there and Franklin was still gon put them in a quality facility, the politician just wanted that specific block

you can see franklin is slowly losing his grip on reality. i think he's gonna be a straight up monster by the end of next season and they're gonna try to turn the audience against him so we don't complain about his fate

i think the episode with the bookstore is foreshadowing how much of an a****** franklin is going to become. it was so off-putting for us to see because we've seen him grow from an ambitious school kid.

really the only thing that kept the audience on franklin's side this season was him making up for all the mistakes he made, when in reality louie was the brains behind most of that and he she's gonna be his competitor next season.
