Feels kinda disrespectful to me. It's sad, cause Em goes around kissing everyone's ass these days.

Imagine Em answering if Snoop is top 10 in a similar way. No way it would happen.

Maybe because snoop is actually top 10 candidate

He even had (and still has) people all over the world dressing like him at his shows lmao

Like Elvis did, like MJ did.

    At his shows,
mj has people dressing like him at weddings and s***
People impersonate Elvis for weddings in Las Vegas religiously

There are competitions for their level of impersonation, that's how common it is.

I'm sure you can catch a MJ impersonator at funerals
(googled it and yep here y'all go)

Eminem gets his fans to dress like him just like Britney does and Janet Jackson and beyonce...
He's a legend to mainstream pop culture for sure but not (MJ/ELVIS Level )

You said Eminem is a bigger legend than Nas and Andre 3000 you can suck my d*** from the back

You also said Rap God is an amazing song

f*** out of here you piece of s*** im not discussing rap anymore with you

I said I Like rap God. Never said it's amazing.

How big is Nas outside of the US? He has fans just like Jay, but they nowhere near Em or 50 worldside. Or Snoop. They're the biggest names globaly.

Andre isn't big at all as soon as you leave the US.

    People always with what ifs.

If Snoop had died after Doggystyle no one would have expected him to fall this hard or work with anyone over some checks.

He would have been top 5 for sure just cause of The Chronic and Doggystyle plus Death Row days.

  • Jul 29, 2020

the eminem hate is real here but he deserved it tbh.

he could be top 5 or top 50 its weird with eminem

Yeah, people said the said thing about Elvis who is regarded as a major usurper of black music

Elvis was a hero to most
But he never meant ---- to me you see
Straight up racist that sucker was
    Simple and plain

There's no record of him being racist
yet he is often blasted as have being one.

Chuck d explained that those lyrics were meant to attack the white supremacist system that heralded white artists over the black artists in America

Eminem is definitely a huge symbol of white privilege to some Americans as he bragged about it himself

in his song without me for example.
"I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley
To do black music so selfishly
And use it to get myself wealthy"

he actually has a documented racist past

Elvis passed away in the 70s with Mohamed Ali (prominent figure in black history) at his house (he too had famous black friends) yet in the 80s the Elvis is overrated, stole a culture and is a racist sentiment took over.

Alot of people already believe that eminem is overrated (his albums post relapse get s***ted on alot) and benefitted greatly from being white

    From his song white America
    "Let's do the math
If I was black I woulda sold half
I ain't have to graduate from Lincoln High School to know that"

History has a nasty habit of repeating itself... How long before a new rap group raps that eminem *ain't s*** to them*in their records without any backlash?

Em grabbed what people could say against him and said it himself, battle rap style.

He never said that no one gave a f*** about a white rapper before or took them seriously.

Except the beastie boys, I guess.

Same could be said about Europe. But people love Em, 50, Snoop,...

Even Jay, except some countried where he's Beyonces husband.

Sir, what part of people not knowing s*** about hip hop don't you understand?

    Most are mainstream casuals
They probably like jayz cuz of his songs with Kanye (niggas in Paris was a hit, and Otis too)
some people don't even Know he beefed with nas and never listened to the blueprint: these people aren't fans of hip hop, they like trendy, new music

Same goes for 50 cent who has hits and snoop Dogg

They don't have to like old school rap but not knowing your history disqualifies them for the discussion around certain rap related topics as all they Know is mainstream succes whilst ignoring how their faves got
    That succes.

Some people check older stuff some people dont.

Here u have people calling everything that happened before Drake and Kendrick dust. And this is a rap forum. Not casuals.

It's because em is garbage juice

Same thing could be said about Snoop then. And his discography is way worse.

Dude even dropped a bible album. But he's not Ye, so people didn't care and acted like Ye invented Jeovah witness rap.

You really believe that 8 mile movie line huh
well it's not true : for one he never outed himself as having a racist past, benzino did.
All he did after being exposed is apologize and have his label legally clean up his mess for him.

He also dodged rap beefs against cage, evidence and k-rino (rumor has it he squashed it behind the scenes with evidence because he didn't want part 2 of hiss diss to release, evidence hung around the same crowd as eminem and it is to be believed he had some compromising info)

With how successful Em is/has been in his prime, it's a shock he doesn't have much influence on the younger rappers. He has a lot of impact but not much influence
