Also Jadasea and Babyfather collaborator John Glacier debut exec prod Vegyn is dropping this summer, first album Vegyn is exec producing since Endless
New Z x Black Noi$e too
such a banger too
if this is a whole tape with BN it'll end up his best yet tbh

maasai feature & keiyyA co-production on dis
yea I dunno how I missed this dropping too, love JWords. Off of one listen the first half is trademark JWords which is cool but I'm feeling the second half much more because she's switching it up and experimenting more.
SCRD and Thin Ice are both crazy

Both those tracks are hard
Reminding me to revisit Valley of Life today
That Smokebreak launch party was a fun watch. ANKHLEJOHN killed it especially
Was it recorded?
Don’t know if this has been posted but MIKE played 4 new unreleased joints 🌞
Laaawd he only getting better
Was it recorded?
Think it was prerecorded as opposed to live live. If thats what you mean? May have misunderstood.

Sorry yeah—thought it was live. Hope to see that pop up somewhere
Why I still feel like MIKE underrated within this scene tho
Nah I dont think he's underrated. Carved out a very healthy base of supporters, probably sells the most of all these guys on bandcamp. Got notable writeups, did Pitchfork festival. Has the most impressive discography of any and always pushing himself to new production styles.

I can agree with that it’s just I don’t see him on any top 5 list on here but I see people like navy and Mavi (who I love) but still.

I think those two are just more accesible to most. But in this thread I know the vast majority of us loved his releases last year and would hold him as still the most exciting artist in this scene.

I feel like I was lowkey underrating him until last year tbh, 2020 he was prolly MVP oty for me. Even so Slauson still had an overall stronger drop with V last year imo (and well, Act II dropped). So his projects don't always land right at the top for me but still I basically see him as a leader figure and prolly my fav artist of the scene rn after Slauson
His place as the second most influential in the underground right after Earl is pretty much undisputed tbh

Expound on that influence of MIKE's bro

this is an odd way to phrase it but i thought he woulda been like a psuedo break-out star of the scene by now which is maybe like what you're inferring . hes doing really well and his catalogue is absolutely insane atp to me i think the people that know him think he stands out in the scene too he just hasnt had the biggest of cosigns or whatever yet
