Some samples were def rearranged.
Other than that pretty much the same
wait the soundcloud link says 9 months old, is that the old version or was it updated? And was that the cover back then too? Rly like it
Also on Spotify already for me tho, couple songs in really digging this
Wow y'all didn't overhype this, big heat
Production sounds even more rich and warm than Time Will Tell, lots of jazzy/soulful instrumentation. Dude really has his own sound, a bit like Isaiah Rashad meets slums.

Slauson asked me for a pic of myself for the second edition of his book

Sent him pics, let's see if he goes through with it
100% gonna be about this thread

^ when I asked him about this in pms he said "it’s not really about “your” opinion but your entitlement to have one."
lemme know what you think about the thread lol... I don't see how I behaved entitled tbh, I was just challenging him to challenge my criticisms of his way of arguing to see where I might be wrong in my thinking. Frankly I think he didn't really engage with me at all and I could have stopped trying to get him to really explain himself in clearer words but well
Damn Jodi needs to hurry up and drop the album on bandcamp!
@beflygelt Yeah I was trying to hype it up but no one was listening. Then he took the project down lol. I thought he quit

it's kinda like smoking tbh, it sucks but still makes you addicted lol. That said there's some cool sides to twitter, it's good for memes, good for music/film recs and news, particularly with this scene it's hard to keep up w/o twitter
interrogating artists abt samples will always be pathetic, enjoy the music as it is

I mean I understand why - but it's not like there aren't artists out there who are heavy crate diggers and more than happy to try and help promote some obscure work they took from (I have in mind DJ Shadow and Avalanches for example), I think it's more of a cultural thing in hip-hop that artists don't like to be asked that - it's because of good economic reasons of course, but I still don't think there's an inherent wrongness to just asking the person that knows best, as long as you respect they might have reasons not to answer
Jadasea and John Glacier made a whole album over Psychedelic Ensemble beats (who makes extremely fire NTS Mixes on which he also plays slums, Mach and others)
Crazy year for Jada
also just stumbled on this Earl interview with a visual artist who also produced an album for Yasiin Bey
