im enjoying the game for what it is but i cant help but think that this is some extremely wasted potential

The somersault jump spam glitch is so goofy I hope they keep it in

As much as I am enjoying just experiencing the raw gameplay again (pause), you ain’t wrong 😭

But I also do have faith for the full release

One big change I noticed that has now boosted the way the game plays

In the old games, you could hold down to get an Ollie ready and basically line yourself up to wherever you wanna use that Ollie. Hold it down until you get to a rail and then jump towards it and you’ll grind. Hold it down until you get to a ledge and you’ll jump it over it.

In this one, holding it down for a while before you get to stuff hugely kills your chances of landing stuff. It’s like the game doesn’t know what you’re trying.

So if you start the Ollie way later (closer to the rail or the ledge or the ramp) and then jump up, the game has a way easier time realising what you’re trying and it’s a lot smoother. Basically just quicker flickers rather than holding down an Ollie for a while

Wish it was less cartoony but im having fun. Just having spots to have fun with is enough for now. Just hope they add some content soon

It sure is skate. Feels directionless tho since it’s just do these challenges and spend credits.

Probably just gonna be a game to rip for 10-15 min while waiting for friends to hop on different game

Good looks this made it a lot more enjoyable for me

I hate the sterilization of skateboarding in this but I can’t lie, the wallies and other new mechanics feel great

Aesthetically this game is the equivalent of a geekbar and we traded Reda and a VX1000 for an AI that makes you film tik tok clips.

The devs could’ve held it down for skate culture but they sold out to appeal to fortnite kids

found a launch glitch if anyone wants to exploit it

1. open object dropper
2. (must have dumpster unlocked) set up 3 on top of each other
3. set up a kicker decently far from the dumpsters
4. make sure you have enough speed
5. launch off the kicker and perform a no-foot air grab
6. fly

Was prepared to hate but I tried this and tbh it seems pretty fun

I was iffy at first but me and the homies been playing all day and it’s so fun

My fav skating game is TH: American wasteland, and my fav mechanic in that game is the skating shops having daily challenges/checklists for you to do for exp and money.

The rotating daily challenges in this made me ratatouille flashback to childhood meme to that feeling. I’m gonna love hopping in here to do the daily challenges to level up and for money and unlocking clothes

It’s obviously hugely undercooked on any content outside of that but the skate mechanics are fun, it’s fun to just explore and find gap, and the daily challenges are a nice bonus to keep you busy as they flesh the game.

And I love how you unlock challenges across each portion of the map in a slow and staggered way. Haven’t explored the other 3 districts yet much

I just like rolling around doing crazy stunts to even flow
