Ok just checking. I've noticed a disconnect between people against student debt forgiveness but don't care about/got PPP loans forgiven. But if you consistent all the way through then fair enough

no one said that any other political candidates were authentic or also didn’t manipulate, the point is that Trump’s main appeal was a complete facade lol, so it qualifies as manipulation—idk why you moved the goalposts from “lol people weren’t manipulated into supporting Trump” to “lol but Democrats did the same s***/so does every other candidate”
im not even into politics and it’s very easy to see that Trump was a hack that coasted off of being the quasi-antithesis of the “establishment”
i don’t even think anyone here is necessarily Democratic, i see more tankie talk on here more than anything else regardless
But what if it's not entirely a facade?
What I'm trying to say is that trump represented something very real to ppl, which is why they voted for him, and that should be taken seriously. Writing it off as just manipulation is an apology for the status quo.
Trust me, I've been around enough to know that if you scratch the surface of any "tankie" you find a democrat voter with very passionate opinions lmao
