This type of stuff gets to me bro because when I went to live in Russia most people I met there had never met a black person in person.
All they ever knew about black people was what they saw online and on TV: the sexy reds, the blufaces and chriseans, the wannabe thugs and all the negative stuff that is mostly shown about us on the media.
Now me being the first black person they ever met, guess how they treated/looked at me?

I think it’s fair to say the exploitation in our community is fairly unique due to the level of poverty we experience. I mean we make the lowest salaries out of all the races in the US so the level of desperation is different. That and our community isn’t as tight knit as say the Hispanic community they protect their own which is why imo you don’t see other ethnicities with this type of s***.

I'm from Angola, but have lived in Russia and Portugal
both in Angola and in Portugal I've lived in areas considered ghetto and ive even been to jail twice so im not perfect and i understand that your environment can shape you

I won't lie saying that I do so much to help the community but I have younger siblings, nephews and nieces, little cousins and I try to be a good role model for them, I try to act the way I want people around me to act
I was out in the streets rioting last time an innocent back kid got killed here in Portugal and that's not much help for the community but s*** I'm not rich to go build schools, all I can do is help my neighbors when they need and be the change I want to see in the world

Besides that, these type of talks we are having now I have all the time with black friends irl to try and change their way of thinking, and that's pretty much doing norhing i know still I can't just see things I think are wrong and not say anything, that's just how I am
