Rocky doesn’t care about music nearly as much he cares about fashion and being a socialite imo. I think after yams passed he lost his passion for music and didn’t have that type of person in his corner pushing him artistically.
swear if he took a 5 years break only to rap on the same type of prod. as TE$TING

Eating Rihanna.

Then we in for another classic what's the issue
The thing is hip hop really needs that art rap/indie rap figure
There’s guys like travis and thug but they be dabbling in other lanes too
We need a rapper that comes fully from the tradition of the smiths, beach house etc
Agreed, but by that same token we really need to normalize letting artists take their time and delivery quality when inspiration strikes
Long Last ASAP - At Long Last ASAP = 2 year gap
At Long Last ASAP - Testing = 3 year gap
Testing - All Smiles = 4 year gap
Then we in for another classic what's the issue
nah bruh, I mean I enjoyed TE$TING for what it was but I don't want another album full of OG Beepers and Babushka Boi type beats

Fair enough
But difference between laziness/indifference tho

Babushka Boi wasn't even on the album. Joint came out an entire year later.
You got one bad beat with OG Beeper. I'll even throw in Distorted Records for you, even though I've seen alot of people praise the production on it as a banger, I do without it personally. That's two tracks on the album with bad beats
You have the beats on Tony Tone, ASAP Forever, Praise the Lord, Buckshots, Hun43rd, Changes, Black Tux White Collar, Purity, Kids Turned Out Fine, Fukk Sleep, and Gunz N Butter that are solid.
That's 11 out of 15 tracks with solid production. One track is an interlude. Two tracks are weak. Another track is Brotha Man which to me is just there. Yeah I'll take another album with Testing like beats.
And going off the production on leaked tracks like G-Unit Rice, $andman, Blur, Smeegle, Arya, and RIP...yeah All Smiles is shaping up to be pretty dope
Lol, u gotta remember these guys are RICH now they don’t have the same drive as they used to have
Man I legitimately think this guy is one of the best artists of our generation but seriously what is going on
Is this guy just never gonna do music? Is he uninspired? Writers block ?
He don’t gotta reinvent the wheel release a 14 track album of calldrops/sundress’s with some hard type s*** like smeegle/deathwish etc would do very well
I imagine like Rih, music isn't attractive or profitable and is too much work for the return

yeah I mean you ain't gotta convince me that TE$TING was good, I enjoyed most of the tracks on it. I was just a little worried about the direction for ALL SMILES because like you said he released Babuska Boi after the album and it had that similar production as OG Beeper. I did listen to the $andman snippet and it sounds promising.
He’s been washed since after LLA. I genuinely don’t know how he’s still w us and considered a “top” artist
