Anyway my whole thing here is it’s not the guns and it’s not the regulations or lack thereof. Basic history will tell you that. When we ignore the fact that mass shootings weren’t really “a thing” up until very recent American history, we fail to have any sort of useful discourse. This is all hogwash and anyone with half a brain can see that. It’s a problem that can’t be solved with a bandaid. It has a lot more to do with the insanity we’re hit over the head with online, and the ability for individuals to get lost in that sauce, disassociate, ruminate, and spiral out of control. But we don’t want to talk about that because it’s a far more nuanced and difficult conversation to have, nonetheless with no clear solutions.
So before you get pithy and snarky with me, trying THINKING ABOUT IT HARDER THAN A FIFTH GRADER, thanks.

The 60s?
70s, 80s, 90s, 00s?
The frequency of mass shootings and school shootings has grown exponentially since the 2000s and no one ever talks about that part and it’s driving me insane.
Has to do with mental health, but mental health has also become a bigger problem in the rest of the world since then, but in the rest of the world it’s a thousand times harder to get a hold of a gun to shoot your school up.
