Are you watching/downloading the screener or the yts version? (Which is the screener but masked as blu-ray)
If it doesn’t open with the Netflix logo thingy then you have the wrong thing

Just some New York s*** man always yelling. I’m sorry u got yelled at
Thought the movie was a 3,5 out of 6. Adam Sandler did a great Al Pacino impression.
I like that movie is like a short story, it cuts into a situation without giving background information.
The ending was very predictable, what did he think the goon would do after he disrespected him like that?
His side chick, his marriage and the weeknd story was boring/not important to me and the fact that he wanted to save his marriage in the end was also not important to me.
yo that bet tho - which most of the movie sort of centers around (all of the bets tbh) - 100% would never be allowed to be placed anywhere. literally cant do parlays like that lol
What did pops not like about it fam
Asked him, he said he was too frustrated from the main character

he's correct about the parlay not being feasible irl, but i don't think it affected the experience much for me

don't think i realized that Arno was killed too at the end during my first watch, his relationship with Howard will hit different now when i watch again

yo the ending really reminded me of parasite...same type of shock. of course with parasite like literally that was jaw dropping but its funny both movies came out within a couple months of each other.

It didn't really remind me of parasite but it did of the lighthouse, with how the main character (winslow/howard) died after achieving their goal (reach the light/win the bet)
Watched yesterday. Took me a while to get into the abstract way it was filmed and shot but a good movie. Slightly overhyped I feel but I can see why everyone c****over it
What movie would y’all compare this to? Any other films the Safdie brothers clearly steals from?
One my friends was tryna tell me this but couldn’t think of the name of the film(s)

the great thing about making the tip off part of the bet is that even though a good number of people remember the outcome of the game, most probably don't remember who won the tip off.
Also it's just an insane bet anyways so it plays into Sandlers character

Story's not that much alike to say it’s stealing but I’ve seen the comment before that it’s kinda like a modern day Mean Streets and I agree tbh. Makes sense when you add that Scorsese was EP. both have characters who don’t understand when not to stop and erase their debts and they pay the price for it
Can’t see there being much more other than their own past movies this was def unique af and they have a history of original ideas.
