Only complaints are some odd editing choices and the Safdies’ reliance on close-ups, quick cuts, and pumpin the bass when to keep your heart racing

that said, the story was engaging and extremely well paced, characters were nuanced, deep, funny, unique, and believable, and every single performance, even just the one-off character actors were just perfect. they all looked and acted the part so well it was uncanny

and i don’t know how much or if they improvised... or if it was 100% straight from the script - but if the latter, this screenplay deserves awards

I was so high walking into this. The very opening scene had me buggin, then the first scene in his shop was so beautifully shot and choreographed, and the visuals in the nightclub with Lakeith’s character were so vibrant it was like you were watching a different movie but still totally engaged
