Good. Stupid concept with dumbass pricing.
Shoulda just done HBO as is
So basically,HBO is going back to being HBO,less shows but very high quality and more of a focus on documentaries(which wouldn't be terrible cause HBO produces alot of great docs). Seems like HBO us cutting the fluff to tryband save money but also in an attempt to get the HBO brands prestige back
This says they cutting their development staff.. which means less HBO scripted movies.
The hell this have to do with HBO MAX being acquired or whatever
Na hbomax originals got cut

Cutting hbo max development staff by 70% and getting rid of the originals is effectively ending the service

this is absolutely not what they're doing
No more "Sex Lives Of College Girls" what will we do now
That show sucked but damn
This is such a boneheaded move. There’s blood in the water with Netflix and these new hbo execs just shaking up their own s*** for the sake of shaking it up with no guarantee it’ll pay off
new ceo is on crack if he thinks im gonna tune into f***ing an app called discovery plus like that's not ten times worse of a name than HBO MAX

I promise this has nothing to do with prestige

What are they doing then? This seems like an attempt to cut fluff from HBO,save money and along the way, bring prestige back into the HBO brand
They could cut originals and still have a streaming service for the existing catalogue is what I’m talking about
I promise this has nothing to do with prestige
Most likely not,its definitely 99.99% a money move but alot of those shows that made it on Max,would've never been on HBO otherwise
There is a team of development staff at HBO max? I assumed they just had 1 lazy unpaid intern doing all the programming on their apps

only so many shows can air at a time with that format though. that has nothing to do with quality.
I'll switch over to Discovery+ if they have a programmer that can make a functional rewind feature
