thenewjimmorrisoni think in that snippet when she says pop shes referring its original meaning of "popular". I think shes arguing (rightfully so to an extent) that Bjork and Kate Bush both had hits and sold well and were relatively mainstream without compromising their art too much. In this way, they expanded what pop music can mean. That music doesnt have to sound a certain way for it to be huge or chart high.
To me it sounds like shes hoping LUX can reach the same amount of people and become as played/popular as Motomami or other pop music does
