how you personally feel about the music doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things whether you want to admit it or not

the fact is from 4 ONWARDS, there has been a ridiculous amount of impact from each project she’s dropped

It’s not a personal feeling. Lemonade (regardless of impact) isn’t better than Illmatic. Or doggystyle.

Her albums aren’t what she will be remembered for.

I said it in another comment a min ago, but I’m glad they avoided metal for the most part. They would’ve made some s***ty picks.

they aren’t much of a fan it seems, besides glam metal lmao.

Imagine conflating Beyoncé’s impact to her album quality. Lemonade isn’t that good. And it’s def not better than doggystyle

If you looked at this list's top 150, you would have no idea that there was an entire indie music boom that happened this century

there is no conflation, beyonce is one of the most important figures for this century literally

    her Coachella performance solidified that

And if this was a list about greatest artist I would agree with you. But it’s not. It’s about albums.

Did they even have a slayer album in the original list? lol

  • Here's a fun thing to do: look at all the hip hop albums ranked from 500-100 and count how many of them are better than take care

and her albums are great, the critics reflect that and so does anyone who extensively listens to pop music

she strikes a perfect balance between radio friendliness and great music

I’m not sure tbh, but Slayer seems to be the band these publications use when they wanna seem “hip” to metal lol. And Reign is a legit classic in the genre so I wish they would’ve put it in over some of the other rock/metal choices but it’s Rolling Stone, I haven’t read their stuff in many years.

Bro. You are preaching to the choir. I love Beyoncé. I like all her albums. They just aren’t too 500. Too many great pieces of music for me to give her that just off her impact.

you do realize her inclusion has nothing to do with music, right? lol they're basically filling racial quotas and being motivated by recency bias and white guilt
