Just a personal gripe, but they also chose the wrong Lana Del Rey album. It would make sense to go with the one that you know, INFLUENCED AN ENTIRE WAVE OF FEMALE MUSIC ACTS.

Another one that stood out was Metallica’s black album, which I get why they put it since it’s their most popular, but Ride the Lightning blows it away imo

I thought the same thing then I realized it’s not the audience they’re trying to appeal to. They would’ve made s***ty choices, I’m kinda glad they didn’t include metal for the most part lol.

Chuck Berry fell from the 20s to out of the top 50 as well. But here's what I think actually happened. They wanted better representation for black music so they brought in a bunch of younger voters who listen to hip hop, but probably don't care much about jazz and rock. It was probably the same old white dudes from the last top 500 list still voting for jazz
