It's fine because she's reference a movie. No but really it's because SZA is who Rolling Stones demographic listens to. The journalists would never put out a piece like this against her
She's in that Tyler, Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean lane. You friend with the vinyl wall that retweets Melon listens to her, She's a safe pick when someone asks who you listen to, you'll hear that "My man is your man" song playing in the background at Nordstrom, the essay youtubers are breaking down every metaphor on her album, she was on SNL this month.
She's in her Chance 2016 or Post Malone 2018 bag rn. You can't say anything negative or they'll come for you in the replies. You'll wake up canceled. They'll take your house. Your wife's leaving you with the kid. My brother in christ it's obvious why SZA and her misandrist isn't under the same scrutiny as Future. She's making too much money and bringing in clicks for the right people

I don't get this. What do you mean?
We live in a society
One day you’ll wake up and realize you thought you knew what was going on
I'm going to be saying "let's leave misogynistic rap in 2022" a lot over the next couple weeks and it's going to be annoying and I apologize
A rough draft in word doc that should have got deleted after proofreading the bullshit, now we gonna point out the funk.

ima annoy Drake stans with this one tbh
Why don't anyone gives same energy about violent movies 😂
And there's way more f***ed up things in world than to be worrying about Rappers.

You know what man I'm reading it again and maybe I had a certain woman on my mind when I wrote that. I'm venting and it might look unhinged
Misogyny is white people's new favorite code word to use when they want to hate on rap
Ngl this feels like a code word for “I don’t wanna discuss misogyny so I’m gonna hide behind racism”
Why don't anyone gives same energy about violent movies 😂

People too often fail to realize that music is entertainment and not real life
Maybe I'll get clowned for this but I really think Earl does a great job of talking about mental illness in a very nuanced and approachable way that feels real to his experience. A song like Shattered Dreams messes me up because his experiences are delivered in such a disarming, matter of fact way without being glamorized. "No one told me I could leave" gives me chills.
I really need to get back into Earl, I’ve not tapped in since Some Rap Songs
thank you for the rec

Solace for me. I gotta listen to it at least once a year.
Niggas in the 70s were coming home from the steel mills to beat the absolute f*** out they wives then got dressed to go listen to disco music all night
Lol
It’s not the ‘80s anymore, bruh
U can’t keep using that excuse with rap lyrics
Disagree
Just because culture’s moving in a certain direction doesn’t mean it’s right.
