I wonder if it will be worth coping the PS5 Pro for this. I’m really curious how this will run and look on a base PS5

It’s a balancing act for sure, you want the missions to be memorable, but not too rigid, but you also don’t want them to be so free-form that they end up bleeding together (thinking of how almost all Ubisoft games now are base infiltrations).

Guess you could maybe lean into an RPG type structure with multiple different outcomes (a la Cyberpunk, or more recently, Kingdom Come 2), but that genre also depends heavily on dialogue choices beyond just flavor text.

Games like BOTW/TOTK are freeform and depend heavily on the dynamism of its various systems to create memorable moments and to promote improvising on the spot to engage with its various scenarios.

I don’t know, people point to the classic GTA trilogy, which, sure those missions weren’t as on rails as, say, the missions in RDR2, but they were still fairly linear.

Maybe they could lean more into an open structure with missions and side content that more naturally flow into one another within the world instead of heading toward a letter on the minimap?

IIRC after certain main story missions on RDR2, I would run into side missions, and I really liked that. That game had my favorite side missions story-wise.

The trailer IS base PS5, so I'm guessing 30fps

I also wonder like, I know we're going to have radio stations still but will there be a streaming service in the game? If so, how would licensing the music work?
