Personally, I can't relate to this I play games years after they drop and get them for cheap. I just finished Hogwarts Legacy and Spiderman 2 because they were free in the PS Catalogue. Just copped RE4 remake for ridiculously cheap last month. I'm currently playing Borderlands 2

If you only cop the occasional game at launch, this isn't really a concern

Its funny how easily people justify paying 80$ or more for a game when its a game they like. Almost like its not really a moral issue but entirely subjective and based on taste, country of origin and personal budget.
