well what is the point you're trying to make - it doesn't seem very coherent
Working on a game for 12 years and a 1000 plus credit list what is unclear
Seems like the perfect opportunity to drop a trailer, preorders would’ve skyrocketed.
People preordered 100$ editions likely record numbers no gameplay and for many not just 5$ down paid the full amount

my post addresses this
I don't really care about individual games costing however much, but the precedents that might be set
I have no dog in this fight but I’m happy to see the toxic discourse
Question is will I cave when it drops just like gtav? We will see
I literally never buy games at launch, my last was RDR2 and Spiderman because of Black Friday specials
Day 1 for this though
I'm not on social media so usually I can avoid spoilers, but this will be everywhere. Feel like I have to play it ASAP
$80 is a bubble is fine (although it's more expensive in the UK if you convert the currency.)
The problem is once they know consumers are happy to do pay $80 then why not 90 or 100? I'm surprised condom eyes of all people is pro-industry!
Slippery slope fallacy. And everything else increasing in price, you can't expect to keep paying $60 forever

“ the precedents “
Even for many games taking 5-8 years it will shift this way especially next gen . Layoffs and studio closures are a big precedent’s
If a game has online , coop, single player all in one 10$ more isn’t crazy . No one is forcing you to buy at launch
A 2 hour movie cost 20$
No gameplay even trusting in dev is insane on PlayStation side where you fully pay for it . If they were planning on showing more of game buying it out right tells them no rush
I wonder if they'll show it nearing the drop or what. People do wanna know if it's gonna be a god balance, movement wise. Not too floaty or sluggish

If the cost of everything is rising why would the cost of something with larger teams and larger development time remain the exact same

V was a con job to me in regards to expecting much better from it . More heist . More details and choice in regards to heist . Part of how they pulled that off was their marketing . So I won’t be tricked again lol
Game probably costing 1.7k in my currency and y'all crying about some 70/80/100
Americans are entitled especially gamers . They know take two makes crazy money but don’t realize how many studios rockstar has worldwide and staff . With a lower level of outsourcing
Game probably costing 1.7k in my currency and y'all crying about some 70/80/100
thats still less than 30 cents a day since GTA 5 came out
get your money up
If there were more games that took risk . Had multiplayer , single player and coop. I would have no issue with 10$ more . Too many are focusing on being a live service though

Regional discounts will hit like crack after a while if you on Steam (provided the game actually drops on PC
)

No you can't, I think it's a bad time for everyone. I'm venting out my frustrations at the industry I'll admit. But I can't help be concerned how out of hand things could get if people are uncritically paying this much for a download
(btw it's £70 in the UK which is over $90)

well yeah that's another one of the problems, it becomes especially bad for some markets

Also, I don't even consider the game to have three protagonists but the marketing made it seem that way lol. It really is just Michael and two side characters
OP left a sour taste in my mouth I will also admit, will never get baited by Kr0niic again

“ I think it’s a bad time for everyone “
Including the staff working on the game in the same economy as all of us

I'm sure it's the staff who determine the prices

I will be there day 1

Franklin is atrocious writing lol . The switching between characters mechanic really just was a gimmick to me that felt like it took more work than it was worth
So seeing dual protagonist return and now a social media mechanic is like okay. At least they get to improve heist from last game and what they learned from online . Singleplayer needs to be more sandbox and less on rails cinematic this go
