The last jedi was f***ing awful

A nearly 3 hour movie with little to no plot

Jj did a good job considering what he was left with

Rose and Finn side plot was about the injustices of war business, about failure (along with the rest of the film’s theme) and as corny as it is “saving what we love”

It’s not completely pointless, it is the worst aspects of TLJ but if people are tearing it down as worthless because they didn’t achieve their goals then the same complaint should be made towards Empire Strikes Back

supreme leader kylo ren coming off killing his dad and his master being betrayed by the first person he let his guard down to and watching the person he thinks made him this way come back and f*** up his whole plan

or old guy with half his fingers missing

Nigga it's just swords with lights on it smh...this nigga had the audacity to "technology wasn't there yet" like that's the reason the sword fights were mediocre.

I just don't understand why JJ went back on the idea of Rey being a nobody (which is a great moral and subversion of the destiny trope) when HE WAS THE ONE who introduced that idea

The whole 'lie' Rey was telling herself - or her "want" - was that her parents mattered and they would come back for her. This scene from TFA literally nips it in the bud without saying it:

Rey's backstory should've never been brought up again afterwards (besides Kylo using it to manipulate her cause of course he would)

Idk I remember some leak with a whole ass plot for that but maybe they cut it out after reshoots, same like they changed the ending which was mentioned in the leak

In the end you can easily tell this is 2 movies worth of plot forced into 1 due to tlj being ass

The lightsabers had heavy ass battery packs attached to them with wires, they were severely limited in what they could do.
