Y’all it’s 2020 the shambles got to stop
shambles gon continue so long as tequila in my hand
Another thing that tlj does well:
The whole point of the confrontation between snoke kylo and rey is to intentionally echo the confrontation between luke the emperor and vader to move away from a retread of the original trilogy
Killing snoke is the path to him going off the deep end into the dark side, then his "battle" with luke cements that he's irredeemable
But ofc jj went back on kylo getting rid of the light...even tho he introduced it by having him kill han
TLJ was cementing Kylo’s stance on his conflict and then TROS switches it in a way that’s not only completely unearned but head scratching because it’s not in line with his character throughout this whole trilogy

Jus curious, why do you like ROTJ so much?
The relationship between Luke & Vader became more Father and Son Like.
Vader's sacrifice
Finding out that Leia is Luke's Sister
Boba Fett getting merked was funny.
The ending scene with all the force ghosts.
Vader's final words
Oh and
"IT's A TRAP."

everything here but Leia being Luke’s sister i agree with
Leia being Luke’s sister is SUS
Finally saw it. Felt like a retcon more than a final act in a trilogy. Don’t like the Rey parents change, but the lightning scene that palpatine almost made it worth it. He’s super human I’m every sith s*** was stupid. Really good movie overall with a sus plot

I honestly couldn’t believe it while watching lol Rey really healed Ben and they used the attack as killing his sith side

It’s like when little boys kick or push a girl because they like her. Classic kindergarten behaviour

The sexual tension was crazy
But imagine normalizing abusive relationships
Can someone explain to me Anakin's lightsaber story? Cause I'm confused on how it could end up where it has

anakin makes it after episode 2
loses it to obi-wan in episode 3
obi-wan gives it to luke in episode 4
luke loses it on bespin in episode 5
maz finds it on bespin years before episode 7
rey finds it in episode 7
it breaks in half in episode 8
rey puts the pieces back together before episode 9
Force Heal is kinda Canon tbh. It's on the Jedi Knight games
I will admit the story for this whole trilogy is undeniably almost pretty much a remake of ep. 4-6. The movie was extremely predictable, we all knew Kylo was gonna die, Leia, etc.
All that being said, I still liked it a lot. The cameos and Easter eggs from the other movies were awesome. The return of the emperor (with the OG actor who is the only person to have played in ALL the trilogies) and making it seem like he was gonna win was a dope ass twist. For a second I actually thought Disney would end it that way.
I would be pretty sad, but not really because Palpatine really is pretty much immortal tbh. In the lore he is the most powerful force entity in the whole story. Except for Rey, I guess. He isn't even a singular person as much as he's just this evil entity that moves around like a spirit.
When Rey was hearing the voices of all the dead Jedi, it was dope too cuz apparently you could hear literally all the Jedi since Ep. 1. My friend said he heard Qui Gon
I know I heard Anakin, Yoda ofc, I swear I heard Mace Windu as well.
The CGI for Leia is next level. When they did the Luke and Leia saber training battle, that s*** looked pretty legit. I think they actually used that deep fake technology because Leia looked way too real. Unless that's just how CGI is these days.
Cuz if I remember right Carrie Fisher died right before Ep 8. was even done.
I think The Emperor coming back was what made the movie for me tbh. I even said way back when they did the first trailer for the movie that if they didn't have the Emperor, the movie is DOA.
I still don't understand why they killed kylo even from a business standpoint it doesn't make sense. He's a fan favorite and you could've told a bunch of good stories about how he redeems himself.
I thought this too, but then I also remembered he killed his dad. There's no way he could live with that.
I didn't really like Kylo as a Sith Lord tbh. The script for him was way too predictable and it almost seemed like they were trying too hard to make him seem ruthless for no reason. Maybe it's the actor too.
Something about Kylo as a Sith just felt unnatural though. Definitely the weakest of all the Sith, including Darth Maul.
Finally watched this. Holy s*** it was bad. It is so clear that Disney is going to make some spinoffs and shorts based on some of the events. Finn and Ray William Johnson probably getting a spin off together in the future. Lando and that random chick she just met also. Probably going to be her dad or some s***. Might get a short on how palpatine lived. All stinky Disney+ content. Why did they make Ben solo quite when he finally becomes good
and should have made a light saber fight scene with both Rey and Ben vs Palpatine. That random kiss
Finn and Ray William Johnson?
