Kylo Ren shouldn’t have been redeemed, should have died irredeemable.
Rey should have stayed a nobody, should have died through sacrificing her life.
C-3PO memory should have stayed wiped
Sheev Palpatine shouldn’t have been in this movie, period.
Finn should have been training to become a Jedi.
Leia’s funeral should have been in the beginning
Hux shouldn’t have been such a f***ing joke.
keep chewie alive, but if you have the balls to even hint at killing him then kill him
Poe should have learned about all of the struggles of being a general.
Luke didn’t need to be in this as a force ghost, Han Solo didn’t need to be a memory, we didn’t need a f***ing Death Star Destroyer army...
They should have utilized the Knights of Ren more effectively
Kylo Ren should have kept his helmet off.
the love triangle could have been Rey, Finn and Kylo
With Rey’s inner conflict being about choosing the Dark Side or Light Side.
if Disney was really bout it bout it with the lgbt representation they could have had Rose have more screen-time with a new side character (bisexual representation maybe) just a thought, instead of giving her nothing to do, that could have been it, but nope.
Lando did not need to be in this but him being in it this wasn’t a con, maybe utilize him better though if you’re gonna bring him on board?
Side characters provided very little, don’t add so many new side characters
It’s already bloated as is. Have a purpose for them if they are added
If they wanted Landon to be jannahs father then he should have been there with them at the Death Star wreckage leading all the ex stormtroopers
The more I think about it the more it makes sense:
If Finn was the lead of the sequel trilogy or at least a Cap/Tony thing with Finn and Rey, the writers would've come up with more interesting stories rather than having one foot in/one foot out between rehashing and weird subversion.
Finn was better off a side character.
Wasn't easy taking him seriously.
They turned him into a side character. It would have been Ă—1000 more interesting to take him and slowly make him a badass hero throughout each film
maz said whoever you’re waiting for is never coming back not that they weren’t important
And she said to move on
This movie being bad doesnt immediately negate the massive and glaring problems TLJ has as a movie.
just thought of something
if the emperor was snoke, and snoke admits to bridging rey and kylo’s minds, why was he so surprised when he realizes how strong it is
fans have been making this point that snoke bridged their minds cause he said he did
but at the end of tlj they're able to connect without snoke, clearly the force was connecting them over both movies and snoke was lying
I don't think palpatine was doing it either, I think the force was connecting them cause their linked
so he's surprised because he actually didn't do anything and didn't realize how linked they were as a dyad
they share the same source of power
Good movie. Satisfying conclusion to the sequel trilogy. I’ll admit I have some huge gripes though, mainly with killing off Kylo and bringing Palpatine back in the f***ing opening crawl, I also hated chewie being kept alive after his death and Rey healing Kylo

But nah let's make him a side serving
. And his story is actually intriguing, or was

Yeah there’s a lot of fan service and some s*** coulda went different but it’s a Star Wars film if I’ve ever seen one. Takes inspiration from the books, video games, prequels and original trilogy. Introduced the first yellow saber in a film, lightsaber fights and force usage are great, potential spinoffs now that Disney+ is a thing. Coulda done without the kiss and I wish someone either lost a limb or died beside Kylo other than that I have no gripes. Tfa was anh remake, tlj sucked besides throne room and this one I really liked. Going to Disney in March I hope they got reys saber cuz ima cop the f*** out of it

No offense, but this post sums up why Disney couldn't care less about storytelling.

Idk what part of the story they didn’t close up elaborate

Stuff in the movie that bothered me storytelling wise didn't seem to bother you is what I'm saying.
Overall I just felt it was overstuffed and filled with plot conveniences.

To each their own, this film made me love all of the characters while the first two of the trilogy made me feel little to nothing towards any of them other than rey

Thank you Disney
