loverI really want to know why the final cut wound up so short. It’s known by now that if people really want to see a movie they’ll go see it even if it’s 3+ hours. Being this is SW it’s not like people wouldn’t have come through if it was long
I think the original runtime was like 2hr 35min too and they cut it
Because they knew after last Jedi it would flop. So they cut their losses by having it shorter so it can play in more theaters

I’ve said this a few times now but the movie in its current form reminds me a lot of the BVS theatrical cut
everything feels so choppy and so much stuff is just dumped on you with no previous context, you can tell pretty big chunks are missing

I hate this because they don't REALLY like the last jedi now. Like why tf does another movie being bad to you make another movie good to you all of a sudden?

Y'all ever wonder how different the hype for TFA would've been if Rey was presented as THE Jedi of the series from the getgo? I like Rey as a character but I remember being kinda disappointed in the theater when I realized Rey was the hero instead of Finn...I felt it a lil even when watching TLJ tbh
And I know a lot of people were intrigued by the idea of a black Jedi being the hero who was a Stormtrooper on top of it.
