man... f***. I wasn't a "FANBOY" or even own anything he made (besides a pair of off-white nike's I got for my mom...) but this s*** hits unexpectedly hard, has me kinda f***ed up. Just to think all the minor/indirect ways that he actually shaped my taste, influenced so many of the things that I love, made iconic artworks for albums I've played 100 times... Like everybody's said it was really easy to make fun of him, but perhaps that's always the case with someone brave enough to do things their own way, crazy enough to believe that they can achieve what they envision for the world on their terms.... smh RIP VIRG 🕊

    This one hit me hard.
Virgil was one of my biggest inspirations.
Got to run into him a few times, and he was always so humble.
Been at a loss for words all day about this. He truly inspired a whole generation, and you can see by the reception today just how much he was truly loved all across. I always dreamed of one day working with him. Truly devastating loss R.I.P. Virgil

I don't— almost ever— mourn publically/digitally but... this man actually had me thinking about the way that I think from a young age. Legend.

I remember feeling salty towards him bc he wasn't promo-ing Donda on Ig at all (feels v stupid )

but this guy truly spread nothing but positivity, while constantly getting criticized for something... never hated, spoke out against anyone, and just wanted to see the kids and the culture win. Truly admirable and something to aspire to ❤️

If you didn’t get your Off White’s before now then I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours.

I wonder if Off White will continue producing new designs or if they will just redrop Virgil designs from time to time?

Virgil's cancer was rare. Colorectal cancers are on the rise in general though, it's definitely gotta be something in our diets (I have 0 proof but I'm trying to cut out high fructose corn syrup)

    Any more thoughts on this

Im really trying to make an effort to eat clean

Luckily the west african cuisine i mostly eat isn’t really processed or high in red meat

I think it’s caused by chemical exposure

the last two years he made sure his kids would eat good forever

yall can disagree and dislike some of his most recent collabs and designs, I know I did, I hated a lot too

but his family will prosper forever thanks to the last few years

he did everything for his family

selling out is part and parcel with directly working for someone who is top 5 richest in the world. in the end he sold off white off and didnt leave his family the company. he made the choices that he though he was best, and that wise navigation brought him to the forefront of global culture.

he's done a lot and will be remembered not only as a trailblazer but also an educator. a large part of his personal brand was giving away "free game." but it is a game and he was down to play ball.
