I feel for virgil and my thoughts and prayers are with his family as an individual i'm sure he was amazing but tbh dude was just a proponent of luxury and materialism.

Though i commend his creativity it still doesn't takeaway from the fact that materialism is a subset of capitalism and ultimately not beneficial towards the greater good

$500+ basic cotton white tees and sneakers made in china in sweat shops selling for thousands of dollars

There's a lot of problems with Virgil whether it be the donation controversy, the pop smoke album cover or the instances of him stealing from other designers without credit but there's a time and place to bring those up. People are still mourning and it's basic sense to have empathy. Some of yall act like Virgil f***ed your mom or it's some deep personal issue

Pop Smoke cover was cool. Pop wanted Virgil to make the cover and people didnt respect his wishes. Lupe confirmed that Virgil donated way more but that he only posted the $50 to make people that dont have a lot of money feel like they could donate whatever little amount they had too. So those 2 arent problems at all lol. Idk about him stealing without credit though but literally everyone does that, every designer, company etc (not saying its good)
