Ideally the non-zionists would just stay in what would be palestine again. The rest could go back to EU, which is where most the settlers came from
real question, do u think this would be possible?
i wouldnt call the people there settlers considering theyve been there all their live at this point and have no connection to the EU anymore
and while i think a 2 state solution would be best, giving all the land to palestine as is would be preferrable to giving it to israel
but maybe both the countires have too any ideological connotations and like a new country that includes both would need to be created?

go look at a map and tell us how a two state solution would be possible
Yes.
Then theres gon be a lot of claims throughout the world. Humans conquer land from the start, and we never seem to change either

look u dont need to do a smartass response, im not an international diplomat of course im not gonna draw the lines myself, just seems like if we went back to the previous borders (which israel overstepped) it would be the best solution for both sides
never gonna happen because of the power imbalance tho unless we get international intervention
furthermore iran, saudi and the US all stand to gain from prolonging the conflict

Nah they can still go back. They’re only 2-3 generations deep at most.
Who cares what y'all want her to do put boots on the ground and go fight some Israelis? Are y'all gonna do it?

100 years more or less which means that the founders are dead and people there were born when it was a place
plus the idea of moving infrasturcutre is unfeasable
i dont personally have a lot of connection to where i live so i cant really understand but on a technical level its incredibly challenging to exile a populace
edit: also im seriously not trying to inflame the sitation, just trying to understand but is palestine born as a religous state too?
In a perfect world yeah
So let’s backtrack throughout world history and take into account every event that ever changed world demographics due to colonialism, war, pillaging, etc. and give every piece of land back to the “original owner”? What exactly is that going to look like in your mind at the end?
Doesn’t it make more sense to sue for peace and give land ownership to no specific people but shared by humans in general?
I'm curious what people think the practical solution to this conflict might really be. Like I'm genuinely curious. I don't even mean a solution that is good for everyone or whatever. If you're Free Palestine, how does that happen?
It 'should' be very simple really. Accept Palestine is its own nation and allow them to cross the border to get into what used to be their own country.
Sadly thousands are refused entry, robbed by border patrol, beaten, arrested, killed etc for just trying to cross a border.
then theres hospitals- some israeli hospitals are known for refusing medical aid to palestinians, not because legally they have to... simply because they choose not to.
the electricity in Palestine is controlled by Israel- who have many many times just decided to switch it off, simply because they can.
Its a truly horrible situation. But its been like this for decades and wont change. Israel have been trying to wipe them off the map for the past 50-60 years and other countries dont do a damn thing about it
anyone know any good resources on the history of the israel palestine conflict? i think i understand the basics and it’s full f*** israel but i wanna be able to articulate my opinions better to people who still think this is like a two-sided issue

Lmfaooo this dude dramatic as f***. The situation in Israel is a current ongoing issue. Native Americans are still being f***ed out of their land by the US as well these are two current scenarios that can be addressed
...she could've just not tweeted anything if she isn't well versed on the topic
i think that's where most people's issue starts.
To also be fair
A lot of people talking about this aren’t well versed on this topic either
no one is stopping you from going to Africa
this so dumb, how do you blame the person who's ancestors were snatched from their homelands for being snatched
White americans sure hate taking accountability for their crimes lol

idk vox explained a lot of the history on youtube but its mostly the older histroy and doesnt cover most of the recent matters

It doesn’t matter. It’s just history repeating itself. “Give the land to the Palestinians” “Give the land to the Israelis” “Give the land to X”. No. F*** land ownership.

i’ll check it out, thanks. might look for some more recent documentaries and i’ll post in here (or if there’s a main thread for this) if i find any good ones

I didn't blame anyone, all I said was that if he wanted to move to Africa he could

yeah look thats a pretty idealistic way of thinking, its easy to say who cares its just land when you dont know all the motivations of the power players
its not like u or i moving countires theres 100 years of war behind it, plus religious zealots on both sides and war crimes
way deeper than who cares whose land ur on
Wish I could say that.....but my roommate supports them
That's just more reason to say it honestly
i can easily solve the crisis
west bank should be administered by jordan, and the Palestinians in that area should have their Jordanian citizenship restored like how it was before the 6 day war
the gaza strip should be annexed by egypt, it's the fastest and logical way to help an area landlocked like that
hamas should be labeled a terrorist organization and outlawed and disbanded
un comission should be set up to look into israel war crimes, netanyahu should be locked up in prison and never hold a position of authority
homes taken by illegal evictions should be returned as well as new dwellings in the golan heights demolished
Jerusalem should remain with israel but eastern portion of the city be given to palestinian national authority to be governed

The countries who lobbied for the creation of the Israeli ethnostate (thinking of Britain mainly) should be the ones to brainstorm solutions, not Palestinians.
