Have yet to play a few as well... What are your thoughts on Village?

it’s sick af! obviously like it less than 7 but only cuz it’s more action than horror. not to say there aren’t some super spooky parts in Village, but the atmosphere is way more tense than scary. the gameplay/gunplay might be the best of the series imo. it’s reminiscent of RE 4 but takes itself a bit more seriously because of the emotional nature of the plot. hardcore mode is insanely hard for a RE game so that’s pretty cool too lol.

I wish they’d chill with the numbered entries and give us a fleshed out outbreak remake

Revelations 1&2 both fun and usually on super sale. 2 holds a special spot in my heart

i been speedrunning the s*** out of this game beat it in 2:13:39 the other day

if you want something that also bridges the gap perfectly between the action of 4/5/8 and the horror of the earlier titles i would also recommend revelations 1/2
