That’s why i still can’t play it lol
I was just replaying it. Still get shook at the first 2 hours. S*** is a nerve wracking mess
Yeah, RE7 definitely still scarier. Probably the most terrifying RE game. Just going into the house at the beginning is still an adrenaline rush. Especially when the door close and it locks behind you.
that s*** is so good lmao

The atmosphere of a creepy buyou mansion full of deformed crazed backwater southern bumpkins is just way to good.

re7's definitely creepier while re8 is like a fun action horror

Yeah, like when they said they toned down the scary they meant it. I felt no kind of terror until House Benevento. Legit, I think House Benevento is scary than anything in RE7. It's like it was pulled right out of RE7.
That feeling of "Yeahhhhhhh let me go take a break" when the lights go out in House Benevento was intense lmao

YUMMY

YUMMY

The design I can get over. It's the psychological sounds of a messed up baby crying and the thuds and dragging of it's body. Then when it corners you and you can't do nothing but let it happen lmao
BROOOOO the part after you fight Jack and you're about to go through the door and Jack is there with half a head and picks you up. Heart racing s*** and I played this game 7 times now lmao

This right here. The sounds coming out of that f***ing monster fetus were disgusting as hell.

RE7 in VR is the scariest thing I’ve experienced ever, pretty sure that stress took a couple years off my life

Jack is easily the scariest thing in the game. I find Margaret hilarious outside the hide and seek games. Lucas isn't scary at all I find him funny.

Yeah I don't need that stress in my life right now lmao

If you get lost down one of those hallways it's easy to get cornered by it. I never got caught by it. It's just the psychological part that f***s with you cause you can hear it, but can't really see it where it's coming from in those dark ass hallways lol

Definitely the scariest part of the game for me was trying to navigate the house while Jack was searching for me
Just finished RE7 for the first time and gotta say it's one of my favs on the franchise
the atmosphere is unmatched, especially in the first few hours. Definitely reminded me of movies like TCM, Evil Dead and Blair Witch all blended into one.
I would reason I would put it behind RE Remake is because of the Ship section, It's not even bad but it dragged a bit imo especially in comparison to the first part of the game. It did pick up once Ethan came back tho and I did enjoy the ending.
Can't wait play Village in a few days
