then goty in May
it’s a feast for the ages
og is my fav game oat and my only complaints about this are merchant voice (its fine tho) and i dont think crafting should be in a resi game but this is flawless otherwise

The crafting is a holdover from 2 and 3 Remakes (and also 7 and 8).
How is it running on each console and pc for y’all ? ( I didn’t get it yet heard some people having visual issues on ps5)

No issues for me on ps5 but I’m also not the type of person to get triggered over small fps dips or less than crystal clear 4K image quality. Game is absolutely gorgeous imo

Nah for some it’s more noticeable than others apparently like depends on tv too. I’m not a “ must be 4k 60fps” person either lol . Especially currently being a qa tester I understand how much work goes into it . I’ve never been a “ show me the specs person “ lol

Beautiful
Beautiful
Still deciding pc or ps5 going to likely play demo again on both to see where I’m running best / most comfortable

I really love the crafting especially on hardcore, resources are very scarce and you have to be absolutely sure of what you want to make and sometimes you f*** up and have to work around it. Really gives it that survival feeling
Tbh I got some complaints (I never played the original)
I am only on chapter 3
Repetitiveness of the game (it seems to be a ridiculously linear action type game where you just progress from one area of bad guys to another.
The stealth feature should have been expanded more
The game should be more a sandbox rather than what it currently is. If you get caught stealth is done and the game will keep throwing enemies at you until you leave the area.
lack of puzzles atm, again it comes back to the gameplay loop. I felt like RE2 remake, RE7 and RE8 were a lot more creative in it's gameplay/mechanics.
I feel like the FOV is too tight, you will get attacked by an enemy that spawns behind you alot cos it's so clunky to turn around (unless there is a quick turn idk about)
But I really like the atmosphere and the opening section was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how to beat the hoard etc until the bell. It's just too repetitive for me compared to other RE games. I'm probably being a little b**** lol

Idk if you’d use the p5 controller with pc but it feels great with this game
The soundtrack is excellent, too. Unlike RE2R, I didn't feel the need to swap to the original. Though, I will on the second playthrough.
Sooo good

I tried Xbox and ps5 on pc. Dual sense feels better on ps5 but still does some on pc . Also mods for multiple play throughs

don’t take it personally b, I wasn’t implying anything
for what it’s worth I’m playing on a Sony A8H, few years old but still a solid TV. doesn’t have VRR so I’m just rocking performance mode with RT and hair strands turned off

Oh yeah I just wanted to be sure I wasn’t seeming like I was expecting perfection. Truly just on fence on if I want to jump in and play all weekend or chill

Nah these are fair criticisms to some degree ( I haven’t played remake yet but re4 when it. Dropped faced some of these concerns ) .
dude said RE4 should be a sandbox type game
thank god for the block button
Why not? It tries to give you the illusion of play style freedom with a s*** stealth mechanic. It’s literally a corridor shooter. Does nothing particular well from a gameplay / AI perspective.
RE2 remake was far better

I will be aiming and shooting the same 3 enemies and then hear something come behind me and I’m like Tf do I turn around

Like atleast we RE8 they had different scenarios that changed up the mechanics.
RE2 remake was good cos it had the right amount of horror and tension. It wasn’t throwing 30 brainless AI at you consistently and Mr X added a lot of tension. This game is just mindless shooting - progress - mindless shooting again. It’s boring
