pandemic and recession I get you but the leaps from ps3 to ps4 to ps4 pro were all larger with more major titles

Regular PS5 going toe to toe and sometimes outperforming the Xbox series X, many games being developed and released for the console and PC games consistently being stuttering messes.

But here’s your idiotic take that’s too soft brained to include any context

Numbers sound off, PS4 was definitely ahead (gotta remember we had extreme hardware shortages due to the pandemic and PS5 has not seen any price drops while the PS4 already had one) but idk about 20-25mil

You gotta stop meat riding Sony. Ps5 is their ugliest console since the ps3 fat. The shape is awkward to transport and set down, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Series X may be a dead console, but it looks pretty nice at least

    Just checked.

PS5 as of January this year was only 800k behind launch aligned. Cmon man. We don't gotta just say random bullshit when we have the internet to verify.

    Everything

Hella next-gen only games are dropping now. Sony involved titles alone we've gotten 5 this year. This was true for a bit but the gen is picking up proper steam now in terms of releases

    Exactly

People just like to echo outdated internet memes as if they are a permanent fact of life

PlayStation has put out an impressive line up of 3rd party next gen exclusives this year and plus a critically acclaimed 1st party game (Astro bot) and this year has been considered “slow”

We only halfway through the generation. I feel like as soon as the PS5 dropped they started comparing the library to the full PS4 library of classics and that s*** is asinine, gotta chill and give it time, let Sony cook.

We really won’t be able to properly asses how good or bad this generation has been with releases until it’s closer to being over, like 2026-2027

2025 will be a pivotal year for sure

Comparing exclusives 4 years into the PS4 life with 4 years into the PS5 life paints a pretty good picture.

Controversial opinion but I'd argue that Sony PS5 1st Party offering has been a lot better than the PS4 imo

Also gotta remember a lot of Sony's premium devs dropped games right around the PS5 launch lol which inevitably means their next games wouldn't drop until later in the gen. God of War, Horizon, TLOU2, Tsushima all released right before or close to the launch of the PS5

In what universe? I roast nintendo 24/7. I said I only have hope for them because everyone else’s cards are on the table. Sony is going all digital and marking up prices as they continue to corner the market. Xbox has thrown in the towel and will no longer focus on consoles. Nintendo is the only competitor now.
