iyrtitl being a drake "hater" favorite album
Especially when Take Care or NWTS is right there next to it
bro said afrobeats
f*** wrong with folks
Prolly don't understand it, cause he ain't got soul enough
Been putting on way more Afro beats the last few years rather than whatever hip hop been cooking since COVID lmao
Mr Morale being a classic
Carti being a musical genius
Traditional R&B being dead
Drake falling off*
I mean it kinda is a golden age
There’s great highlights but like it was the age of the ringtone era, rnb crossover songs, and a bunch of backpack rap that was laced with corn or sonically not the best. A lot of bloated long albums, legends making the worst music of their career, and prolly the worst underground out of any decade. Less good albums per year than 90s or 10s, it wasn’t a loved era at the time or in 10s it’s just nostalgic now.
It was very pivotal tho. A lot of very important stuff and def some great and creative work

who is out here saying mr morale is a classic besides stans
only 3 rappers have had a studio album last on the billboard for a decade plus
Happy for them
Chief Keef and Gucci Mane are “legends” who make “good music”
Eminem not being a legend
One of the rare times a post deserves to be screenshotted and reposted every time a nigga posts a rap opinion
Somebody get this nigga*

god bro we have never gotten a good purple jersey during the LeBron era lol
Tf is wrong with afro beats, way better than American music
So I hope them Africans stay in Africa instead of giving that juice to dem American s***s
Once again, I just feel like a lot of like the contemporary stuff is just very lackluster but i'm not like dismissive of the genre as a whole. Feel like this is just unfortunately a big trend with African music as of late (ex. Afro House and so many white artist commodifying that sound).
Often times people will box in African and Caribbean music as all sounding the same or having the same beat and that's never really what I'm on lol.
I love Dancehall and Reggaeton, but those are two genres as well that also had the same creative slump/commodification occur when they gained notoriety so I'm sure that it's just the same for Afrobeats.
doechii
Almighty so is better than anything Eminem has ever created btw and whether u like Sosa and wop or not they are undeniable legends
You definitely one of those cacs who also think MGK beat Eminem in the beef
god bro we have never gotten a good purple jersey during the LeBron era lol
Ong lmao
i just was never really a fan of motomami and like the kind of centralization of her being a face of that kind of music tbh
i liked her spanish folk stuff tho
Acting like Drake didn’t carry hip hop/r&b for well over a decade

I think people on here just like to generalize. Yeah some of the s*** you said is kinda true but it’s going overboard acting like there wasn’t amazing music being made left and right.
