do people rly try to claim this because i’m sure smokey would deny it himself and give props to SGP and LUM for influencing his style

he came up right under that wave and had underground buzz for a bit until he somehow broke through with memes or something, i still don’t understand how he got to host a skrillex album

I learned this from an interview of DJ smokey that he posted to Instagram a year ago with himself explaining it and how he taught these dudes how to do it

I think sgp was first doing it a different way but smokey figured out a way to flip the samples differently so it sounds cleaner

her voice and delivery sound like a joke that has gone too far lol like she accidentally got on and had to keep sounding like that

Really just that someone’s opinion matters more than another’s opinion about something. I get there can people that can have an opinion that is certainly an unpopular one, but bottom line if it’s just pertaining to that individual nothing supersedes it

Im not a fan of neither but drake deserves to be criticized more than a little bit.

idk but in my humble opinion, Jay-Z isn’t the god of rap that everyone says he is, he extremely overrated in my book. the rapping sounds juvenile and almost dr.seussy at-times.

    “1 million,2 million, 3 million, four…
in just 5 years, 40 million more”

everyone: OMGGGG KING OF NYC BEST RAPPER ALIVE

disclaimer*: He’s GOOD. but alot of legendary rappers fav rapper? idk bout all that, atleast I don’t see it

A horrible take lmao wtf “Dr. Suess rhymes” is crazy and you picked such a classic as an example. The Jay hate is crazy, niggas be Wayne fans talkin bout “juvenile raps”

    Super ironic.
Lil Wayne literally the most basic 'goat' rapper.

That year or two this site was pretending “Key!” was a generational rapper with a generational album

No one said that lol Key! Stans we be chillin, “generational album”?? Truth is he’s forgotten but everyone from that era knows his impact on the Atlanta/SoundCloud scene. And 777 is one of the best albums of 2010s, FACTS. But he’ll have to die for niggas to care outside of his core

The “15 year run” s*** y’all saw somewhere and repeated when it’s really 12 (2011-2023)
