Oh I think it was solid I just see people buying the book so posted that if they want a cool edition in December
Watching it for the second time tonight, but at the giant imax gt laser screening they have at scotiabank theatre in toronto. Somehow managed to get 1 ticket for a decent seat cause someone must’ve cancelled. Beyond excited rn amaze amaze amaze
just got out. man this lived up to the hype in every way. my goat white boy ryan truly delivered on this and the visuals are insane. the story was so good as well that it had me emotional a couple of times too. what an experience
Just finished it, wifey and i both loved it, well deserved of the praise it's getting

https://twitter.com/spencer_askew/status/2036543517309227449https://twitter.com/HiddenYorkshire/status/2036343202404270153Dumb takes. In what way was nihilism pushed on us HARD prior to this? That sounds like some s*** someone who doesn't actually love movies like The Critical Drinker would say. They're inventing a narrative to make this movie sound more novel than it actually is.
Assuming people are seeing it because it's "earnest and hopeful" is assuming that people have a lot of information about something before they see it. I don't think people generally work like that. More likely, they saw what looked like a fun PG-13 Ryan Gosling (he's peaking) movie that got a prime Superbowl spot.
also, I didn't find the movie particularly earnest and hopeful. what's earnest about it? the Marvel humor that undercuts any moment of serious vulnerability or tension? what's hopeful about it? are we supposed to hope that we can all be a lucky, charming, genius like Ryan Gosling's character? you're telling me they want to save their world? wow, what a novel concept, so hopeful!
the way people act like this is some sort of E.T. or something is bizarre. People enjoyed it because it was fun and accessible, not because it fulfilled some deep cultural craving for earnestness. Last I checked, the Deadpool movies kill at the box office, so I don't think audiences have too much of a problem with nihilism, actually.
seeing tomorrow. 70mm somehow idk why.
hoping its as good as you baby boys are saying!

Ticket 25$
Popcorn and drink 25$
Then if I go to some theatre I have to pay 10-20 for parking
Then tax
So I get it . Then if you going with someone else double it and you over 100 easy
the t mobile thing was the best promo for this movie ever lol
I seen the trailer for this with something I saw in like november I can’t remember
but I forgot all about it until I saw the promo
Still crazy to me that they went the Marvel route.
This s*** could have been an Incredible movie and they ruined the potential.
Still cool tho
