I’ll be honest, I saw Davey Richards for the first time back on 2010 when he faced Devitt for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at New Japan Alive and at one point he hit a SSP off the top and then instead of going for the cover he immediately locked in a Kimura.
I’ve been completely off Davey from that moment forward and I was rooting hard for him to lose the ROH title after he won it. Even for today’s standards that is super masturbatory so imagine what it was like back then.
