if u think that stationing nukes in kiev is a big difference from keeping them in poland then idk lol

u just like to post misinformation and that gif behind it huh

maybe its the fact that invasions set a bad precedent and civilians are dying? nah must be the importance of f***ing kyiv lmao

Actually you're right illegal invasions never happened before, imagine if the US were to use this as a precedent to invade another country What a terrible precedent!!

    ur missing the point, d***head

yea the US has done extremely f***ed up s*** in the past. Doesnt make it Okay and doesn't mean American citizens should just completely ignore when another country gets f***ing invaded cus if they cared then they might look hypocritical.

Russian invasion of Ukraine is bad. and supporting ukraine + placing pressure on Russia is a good thing rn. they shouldn't lose their sovereignty.

This is all true regardless of what the US has done.

    dumbass

F***ing cope. The EU is in an economic crisis that will be increased by losing out on Russian gas without adequate replacements in place yet. This is delusional. Only the USA benefitted from this.

Germany just said they will spent 100 billion euros on weapons. All money that will miss for schools hospitals roads infrastructure. All money that will go to US arms companies.

This was the US plan all along. Like a mafiosi breaking a window of a store and then telling the owner later they can offer protection if the owner pays up.

Nothing russia ever does is their fault

    Always the US

    like a spoilt toddler

    🙄

    I'm squarely anti-american involvement

aid is cool but we do not need to be up in here like... supporting ukrainians is cool but this is 100% not our fight and Russia and US should def not b in direct conflict

that being said, I haven't seen a single person advocating for nuclear s*** to be set up in Ukraine. NATO is primarily defensive. If Ukraine believes they would feel safer with nukes in the area and they were able to show that placing nukes in the area wouldn't be a terrible idea that maybe, just maybe that would happen. But it wouldn't be because this nebulous "west" is working together to invade Russia and threaten its sovereignty

It doesn't matter that NATO isn't gonna invade Russia, you never actually engaged with my arguments from this post for why NATO expansion is the primary factor for this conflict:

Then there's also NATO, which is a military alliance that was formed in case that the West would possibly ever have to go to war with Russia during the cold war. Article 5 says that if one NATO member is attacked, it's regarded as an attack against all NATO members.

With the taking down of the Berlin wall, the US promised to Gorbachev would not move "one inch forward" to the East. A promise that has not been held as many other Eastern European countries have joined NATO.

The reason Ukrainian NATO membership is such a threat is that Ukraine is right at their borders. The black sea fleet in the Crimea was Russia's only fleet that was available year round, which is why they annexed the Crimea in 2014 after the US-backed coup in Ukraine, because they would lose access to that fleet which they see as crucial for their security.

In addition, Ukraine has also hinted at "liberating" (ie invading) the Crimea, if Ukraine does that as a NATO member, it's essentially the same as entirety of the West invading the Crimea, as Putin said here:

That precedent was created by NATO in Kosovo about 20 years ago

    Kid

The war crimes have been proven, documented and prosecuted by the International Criminal Court in Den Haag

Serbia had mass Graves and was committing genocide against the Christian Croats, Muslim Bosniaks and Albanian Kosovars during the Yugoslavian wars which they still don't admit and have war criminals hiding in Russia meanwhile all of their current neighbors hate them

Don't talk here about Nazis and then cap for actual Nazi s*** Serbia has done

It's not whataboutism to say that a country that themselves illegally invades countries isn't too worried about the precedent that an illegal invasion would set.

    1. the u.s has actually been making moves to get out of the places they messed up in thes last 10 years

    2. not everywhere is America, and id imagine most americans dont support those invasions let alone the rest of the world

not sure how america even really plays into this so much considering this is mainly a russia ukraine thing huh
