No id say china russia USA with russia being the most humane at least in regards to foreign policy

No, from an objective point of view the only superpower is the USA. China is getting there, but has not quite that status yet. Russia has military might, but is a dwarf economically. If we look at foreign policy I'd say China is - at this moment - also the 'most humane'

Superpower is based on which countries have their own spheres of influence and thats definitely china and russia as well. Both expand militarily and economically across the world

I guess u could argue china being the most humane since they dont engage in invasive wars really but i think if we are to see the taiwan thing go down it would be very violent

Facts, but since we're arguing such a weird thing, I'd say foreign policy wise they are more than the other 2

But it's a dumb discussion anyway. In the end, they're all trash

I dont actually care about the ethics since I oppose inter-imperialist war on principle. but I won't stand for people comparing this or the xinjiang nothingburger to what is happening in gaza, as a palestinian i find both of these comparisons hideously offensive.

Eh imo the unipolar moment def died 2017-2019. One only needs to look at U.S. policy and behavior since to see that. Trump 1.0 came in asserting China as a near peer then launched geopolitical conflicts against it...Biden came in and asserted China is the only country with the intent to challenge and win conflict against the U.S.,and Trump 2.0 guys like Rubio (our SecState and National Security Advisor) have stated multiple times we're beyond just having 1 great power.

China is right there economically, technologically, militarily and in some sectors dominate singlehandedly. This won't stop. They could potentially not only defeat us in war, but have capabilities to wipe us off the planet. The reason we overlook it is because they're a restraint power that doesn't go on offense, similar to U.S. pre-WW2

Yeah I feel like this conflict shows you have to include Russia, even if to a far, far lesser degree. The fact Russia might not only survive proxy conflict with NATO, but potentially swing U.S.-Russia negotiations to change Europe's security architecture kinda implies on its own Russia is a power. This wouldn't be acceptable in a strictly unipolar or bipolar world.

They're far closer in overall geopolitical power than CW-era economic challengers like Japan or West Germany ever were despite having a far smaller economy

everyone can defeat the US in a war, the taliban just did it a few years ago

I intentionally added a 2nd far more important point to that lol but also this is quite different. I get what you're saying tho.

Imo U.S. "loses" wars because it engages in random imperial adventures that it can just walk away from. It can always just leave Afghanistan, Vietnam, etc.. and remain the exact same. None of these are existential threats that compromise U.S. power. Taliban survived and just picked up the pieces on U.S. leaving to prep for the next conflict. Those are baby wars compared to what U.S and China would be

U.S. and China would be fighting for the Pacific in a naval war (which U.S. hasn't fought in 80 years). Two nuclear powers with air power and advanced capabilities. If it were to lose that war, the entire international order politically, militarily and economically shifts overnight just like it did in 1945. Not to even mention potential losses of life, strikes on Japan, Australia, U.S. territories, etc..

*Also just to note i don't think this conflict will actually happen
