its not a "modern Neville Chamberlain" because Russia isn't Nazi Germany and doesn't seek to occupy all of Europe lol

try looking beyond the "NATO/Ukraine = good and Russia = bad" dichotomy, and think about who's interests it serves to have a prolonged war with Russia, where more and more conscripted working class Ukrainians will be sent to die. and if you're worried about democracy, don't look into what Ukraine has been doing to its dissenters/communists/opposition parties lol

I don't think of NATO/Ukraine as good (same as I don't think Poland was totally innocent in 1939) nor do I look at Russia as bad (named my cat after a Russian cause I love aspects of the country).

I'm just wondering how this doesn't send a message to Putin that he can seize whatever land he wants without repercussions. Which ex Soviet states will he absorb next. Whether or not Ukraine is truly a democracy is up to them but I'm just worried that the conflicts won't end in Ukraine if everybody bends over for Vlad to impale them.

nobody is rationalizing anything you rube, the war happened because of the needs of the global capitalist market. the only thing that would've prevented it was a revolution in the southeast. that revolution happened but also failed to protect itself from becoming exploited by the imperialist powers.

the US has no interest in preventing the rise of fascism in Eastern Europe and giving $9 trillion to the ukro-nazi zelensky regime to escalate the war further is the opposite of what needs to be done

the US and NATO are not some bulwark against fascism, they are its biggest enablers. the proletariat of Ukraine and Russia have no interest in a WWI style trench war between two fascist governments.

only through opposing the war, overthrowing their bourgeoisie, and reforming the USSR can these brotherly nations find peace
