As many as 63 percent of polled Serbs held the West responsible for the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war

in the nicest possible way, this says about as much as the polling numbers on Ukraine in russia

i wouldnt expect serbian civil society to be particularly interested in an accurate portrayal of what has gone on

lets apply some logic here- even if you buy what russia says it doesnt warrant an attempt to wipe out the government and seize the entire east and south now does it.

it's not the wests fault, the west is far from perfect but it's a fascist war of aggression executed by a bunch of thugs. relations with russia were optimistic for a short while before this neofascist ideology took hold. it;'s a beautiful country full of kind, hospitable people being held up by a bunch of crooks and fascists. Poland and Ukraine did unspeakably evil things to each other, but thanks to progress that's in the past, hopefully one day russia can also get on with us like that

ill revise my original statement to 'i speak for most of eastern europe'. hungary, slovakia and serbia are in the grips of russian disinfo. Czechia, the baltics, poland, romania, moldova though....

You are not part of the team. poles. baltics. ukrainians. you are good to clean western european restrooms and die for their wars. You will never be part of the civilized west.

    least racist pole

it isn’t racist to say that serbian civil society and media landscape is pro russia, it’s not a comment on the people , it’s a comment on what they’re being fed

lets apply some logic here. the west has destablized the entirety of eastern europe for almost 100 years now. from attempted complete genocide enslavement, coups, soft coups, arms races, encirclement and aggressive propaganda. Google literally any eastern european country + CIA and you get a result. You are quite literally a propaganda bot. The fact that russia in its current state ( created by USA ) is trying to gain ground on ukraine is completely the wests fault.

i trust governments that derive their authority from a free vote and the selection of their people, because that at least shows a plurality of viewpoints is allowed.

we don’t think of things like ‘civilised west’ by the way, we just don’t want to be under authoritarian control again, we appreciate our new found prosperity and the fact we can choose our governments now. that’s it. we’ve been thrown under the bus and pushed around too much, we will do what we can to disincentivise it ever happenign again

i don’t see how the west ever let poland down other than by throwing us to stalin, which sold us out

yeah the nazis were bad, which is why we don’t like the nazis coming from the opposite direction this time

also we gonna act like germany is the only western country? they did unspeakably horrible things but the difference is they’re not doing them now

be flabbergasted, you’re not only wrong but you’re probably even less relevant and impactful to this than i am. which is both good and comforting to be honest

ukraine should have the same. in 2014 the CIA helped Nazis overthrow the ukrainian government. Now the ukrainian people are being thrown into the meatgrinder. Its so sad.

look at the video i posted ( its not even 3 minutes long, you can do it ). They directly told them who to install in the ukrainian government.

  • Jun 14, 2023

i’d trust the opinions of both poles and slovaks more than those of people who have literally never been here and get their information from grey zone that’s for sure
