of course you don't know, cause you don't care about this war and don't follow things, so shut the f*** up

i've sent you just summorizations of russians reports about this event before everyone knew about it, not what was happened a year ago and other gymnastics you're tankies doing

You just typed a bunch of words furiously, then linked a tweet from a random user with very little interaction, called me a tankie then immediately went on to another user. Like reread this post man it’s full of grammar errors from quick typing

Actually link real reports yourself if you’re “summarizing” things.

Like who are these people you’re talking about?

Edit: I don’t even have an issue with this user btw like this is so bizarre

just open that tweet, it's literally a collection of links to russian reports before it became a massive thing. what was this performance about if you can just read it?

there are still no indications that ukrainians did that, but the first thing you chose to say it's not russia. f***ing pathetic

also while ukraine evactuating their people right now on controlled territories and being shelled, russian gauleiters saying everything is alright no need to worry, when the towns are completely flooded

honestly, i can totally believe an actor on the side of ukraine blew it up. it makes sense to remove the russian leverage and energy weapon

we just have to pretend like it was a bad thing. how is a fascist state blackmailing and making the most of opportunists in europe something you would ever want continued?

Ukraine will rise from the ashes and become the world power the muscovites have ALWAYS been afraid of

The mental gymnastic these mfs are doing to whitewash nazism in ukraine

    Crine at the added context

So one second it’s actually a bad thing that someone blew up damming infrastructure because it jeapordizes innocent people’s food security and the next second we have to say that blowing up pipelines that give normal European citizens natural gas is good? Because it’s Russian

  • Jun 7, 2023

Ukraine has done itself no favors politically throughout this entire war

im a normal european citizen, i feel like you probably aren’t from the way you’ve chosen to approach this.

i don’t think anyone should need to explain the qualitative difference between destroying a blackmail tool by a fascist state engaging in a war of aggression (which hasn’t killed anyone here by the way, it made things complicated but we’ve got new sources on the way) and destroying a piece of civilian infrastructure millions rely upon for their livelihoods. the first order effects of a dam being blown are worse too, the flooding is instant and people die

my view might not be a popular one, but it’s good that russia has one less way to make germany and france turn a blind eye to its imperialism

Is the pipeline nothing more than a political abstraction to you?

the pipeline was a piece of critical infrastructure that was emblematic of german dependence on russian gas to power its economic model

russia had already signalled a clear intent to use energy to strong arm EU countries into standing down. if eu countries had continued supporting ukraine, they would be getting about as much gas from russia as they are now, even with the pipeline. the pipeline would only matter again if they decided to cave in and stop supporting ukraine. is that a moral decision to you?

‘we just have to pretend like it was a bad thing‘ while in the same breath looking at ways to spin it like a good thing just in case is something that I had to consciously rid myself of doing. Its a tired a***ogy but this is literally blind leads blind

it’s good that germany has a reduced incentive to stop supporting ukraine

Was it a good thing when they first destroyed it back in 1941? This isn’t to make a point about those circumstances, more so to understand how these two events are processed

I’d look at the outcome of the decision. the nazis were evil genocidal maniacs, of course you’re going to quite validly want to stop them in their tracks

if it prevented a nazi advance with relatively little damage, it’s an undeniably good thing. blowing a dam to stop nazis is obviously a better decision than blowing it up to stop a country getting its own land back from invaders who are committing rampant war crimes

you seem to have confused me stating a precedent, with me treating both cases as bad.

Yeah tru, this is just for my understanding, thanks for adding more to it
