    Sir Real

Yeah man I’m sure it’s a lot of intel out there the Russians would have no idea about if someone didn’t post it on KTT

    You are doing Valhalla’s work, salutes! #Fella #NAFO 🇺🇦💙💛🌻🚜🐈🕊🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🙏

yeah a lot of those nafo guys are mad cringe and think they’re important and doing something. it’s sad to self actualise via following a war like a hobby. for me it’s cause it’s literally less than 5 hours away from me so it’s kinda important.

but also it’s really weird how you mock well intentioned even if stupid and goofy stuff online while saying nothing about child abductions, rapes, land seizure and civilian bombings. Why?

The purpose of NATO was to combat the Soviet Union. I'm not sure if you know what you’re talking about.

In protection of what, the empires of Britain, France, and the US?

the purpose of nato was to defend western first world nations that were members (of which Britain ceased to be an empire soon after, France clung on for a bit longer and the US remains one) from the Soviet Union, as well as to aid in containing Soviet expansion through collective defense. The US and Soviet's were both empires, both seeking to expand their ideology and meet their interests.

On the other side you had the Warsaw Pact, signed between newly communist nations in Eastern Europe and the USSR which aimed to do the same for Communist countries in the Soviet Sphere. The Warsaw Pact exercised its military capabilities through the invasions of Hungary 1956 and Czechoslovakia 1968, in both cases acting to put down what it saw as defection from Communist ideology

That guy doesn’t seem to think NATO was anything beyond an ideological battle with the soviets

That guy doesn’t seem to think NATO was anything beyond an ideological battle with the soviets

It was a battle over interests. the soviets were interested in maintaining the eastern euro buffer zone and gaining long lasting control over Europe and Asia, America was interested in containing the soviets and preventing total soviet domination over most of asia

soviet intelligentsia vs american capitalists, both states motivated by survival, and survival by the acquisition of power. states also assign meanings to other actors, which is where ideology and norms come in

ultimately america just played the game better

to expand on this with the current war in Ukraine here are the objectives of the actors involved:

-USA, maintain geopolitical domination and eminence in Europe, contain Russia

-EU, gain legitimacy as an actor, neuter Russia and prevent it challenging EU primacy on the european continent

-Ukraine, maintain sovereignty and survival, regain lost territory needed for economic growth and survival. Join EU and NATO for development and protection

-Russia, gain control over Ukraine as a puppet state failed, make whole of Ukraine a buffer for security failed, cut ukraine off from black sea partial success, could be reversed, control Donbass

Large dam in Kherson blown up apparently. Guess it could force a large evacuation of people, possibly cut off water supplies to Crimea, and make it difficult to keep their NPP cool…

I expect both sides will blame the other so we will see what comes of this

  • Jun 6, 2023

looking like it may have been a russian accident, ukraine now cant advance through Kherson

Meanwhile the russians have successfully cut off crimea's water, destroyed ukrainian agriculture, and potentially jeopardised the cooling of Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Thanks a******s, not like people around the globe might starve from this

How many times are we gonna do the whole blame Russia thing then watch a slow acknowledgment that it wasn’t them lol. It’s the same thing every time

If anyone remembered the peak HIMARS era clearly you’d know Ukraine volleyed missiles at this dam on several occasions last year

Edit: They said this in Dec 2022

the Ukrainians hit the dam in several places with the aim of figuring out what they could do, and to see if they could cause enough of a flood to f*** with russia without blowing the dam overall, i dont have footage on me now but if you look at videos of the blown dam, you'll see it was a breach rather than an external impact purely by the size and shape of the impact.

Ok but that still doesn’t hamper the fact they’re the ones who openly tested the possibility of harming this dam

Not saying this was done with HIMARS now in June 2023. Those missiles aren’t even as relevant these days. But it clearly was on Ukraines books as a last ditch effort to potentially do exactly this, so I will never understand the rush to blame Russia each time

It seems like the areas effected badly are all Russian held and are where Russian troops could be stationed

if russia cared about their own troops they'd have probably taken 80% of decisions in this war differently. theres a precedent for scorched earth tactics in russian military decisioning, including on this very dam in 1941. Sure it's inconvenient for russia, but it effectively precludes ukraine being able to swoop in via kherson.

Let’s just see how it plays out then.

My main point always is that we can’t rush to just blame Russia each time. The last few times this has been done it was then acknowledged widely that it wasn’t them.

This could have been either, both of us provided points and the truth will come eventually

a precedent is a precedent. im not judging the decision to do it, but it shows it's something you can do. plus most of the red army there were ukrainians themselves

yeah im not ruling out that it was ukraine, id just be highly surprised

it sounds like the people who blame russia for the nordstream pipeline. sure it's not impossible but would be massively self defeating for them to do it. im applying the same standard here

the video russians actively sharing now was from 2022. they have nothing than that smh

i'm monitoring the situation since the first rumors started. initially russian propagandists and gauleiters started to deny the incident this night, cause they don't understand the scale of what they did. when it became evident after a couple of hours, they blame ukrainians

    basically this: twitter.com/prxpnx/status/1666002724364644353

you tankies never tired of whitewashing russians. f***ing pathetic

of course you don't know, cause you don't care about this war and don't follow things, so shut the f*** up

i've sent you just summorizations of russians reports about this event before everyone knew about it, not what was happened a year ago and other gymnastics you're tankies doing
