Didn’t say he should say anything. It’s just weird to talk about taking Crimea back after you’re backed against a wall with only a realistic chance of losing more territory
Optimism is good but what’s a comment like that going to do now? Donbass is heading out the door, the imaginary counteroffensive in Kherson is getting pushed back….but now Crimea?

They get so much aid and weapons and spread it thin over a vast amount of land rather than focusing on resistance in the areas they’re getting beat. Why?
This CAN work for them far much better but they’re always out for these PR victories and media statements that lead to nowhere.
What’s the next strategy when Donetsk is taken and Kherson doesn't work as planned? How many tens of thousands will continue to be compromised each month?

Russia will lose the ability to gain new territory sooner or later, retaking territory is a discussion that will have to be had. The idea that Ukraine is losing the war is a Russian talking point. They control 3/4 of the country ffs.
