There you have it
Ukrainians aren't exploited pawns, they don't want to give their land up
This is usually how territorial disputes go idk if you knew that
“The poll used live interviewers to survey 1,005 adults who use a mobile phone with service from one of Ukraine’s mobile providers, essentially covering areas controlled by the Kyiv government, as well as some Ukrainians who relocated abroad but retained Ukrainian mobile service. It excluded Russian-controlled Crimea and the separatist-controlled parts of Donbas, in Ukraine’s east, where Ukrainian mobile providers aren’t used.”
Really definitive stuff

Interesting (fk a paywall or registering to view that, lol).
I also wonder how the ban on oppositional TV stations since the war started affects how they perceive how the war is going.
Poll can’t be right! The numbers are off. LA we got work to do.

I'm not against him defending his country, and I've been vocal against people arbitrarily supporting Russia in this thread just because "US bad". However at the same time the US funneling billions to Ukraine while we don't do s*** for our citizens as things continue to get worse and worse for the working and middle class by the day is beyond ridiculous. If the US is going to use this as an excuse for a proxy war with Russia and chase wild foreign state-building interests then I'm going to criticize everyone involved

So even the one asking for the money cause his country under attack?
Why?
the US and most of the EU are already supporting the country in ways which are quite frankly ridiculous in terms of scale both financially and also in terms of supplying arms. at this point the amount of money they're asking for is escalatory and it's clear they aren't going to be satisfied until they drag their allies into the war with them. if this is supposedly a war about the violation of self-determination, then it's not our job to be funneling money over to them on a daily basis. but of course we all know the real reason the US is supporting ukraine to this extent, despite the fact it barely cares about any other territorial conflict in south asia or the caucasus with allies there by comparison
Why?
We have 80 years of history where the US funding a foreign government’s history has led to things like endless civil war, political repression, dictatorship, and worse.
This time it’s a small country against a larger power, and Ukraine clearly has an ulterior agenda that involves bringing the US and EU into a conflict it has no place in
Anyone with any critical thinking skills can tell that this money will literally go into nothing better than conscripted kids getting killed and nazis getting wire guided missiles

The alternative is Russia gaining territory, in which case those kids will get killed anyway.

Not the question. Y'all focus on the USA part, while I'm asking for the Ukraine part
Why criticize them for asking for money to defend THEIR country? Like I said, it's easy to make fun of him but he's just trying to defend his country

Khalq is Americana. I didn't know that before answering. He's pro-Russia cause of a long gone past and the theory he holds in high regards. That it mainly stayed with theory he doesn't care about, it seems
Lukashenko only still sitting there cause of Putin
That's definitely not true lol
Whether you like him or not he has popular support
Is the EU the only reason Orban is in power?
Easy making fun of a dude whose country under attack bro
It's pretty easy actually when other countries have conflicts that are just as destructive if not more and don't have the same entitlement because they're white ass euros aspiring to be part of the west and have been fooled by those same westerners that they actually give a f*** about them and don't just wanna use them as a proxy to hurt Russia
I honestly don't believe Zelensky genuinely believes he's defending his own country either
He used to be all about detente and peace with Russia but flipped after a while of being in power and getting cucked by fascist militias that he tried to stop fighting in Donbass
Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of what he's doing is out of fear of what them mfs would do to him if he didn't change course but who knows

This idea that everything can be neatly categorized in two forms of states: democratic vs dictatorship is bullshit lol
Even if they don't fit the standards of your ideal version of a liberal democracy, there's a clear difference between a country like Saudi Arabia and Belarus and the extent to which opposition can garner support
Nobody also seems to question the popularity of Zelensky even though Ukraine is by any a***ysis a dictatorship according to liberals standards, why the double standard in Belarus?
