The President just vetoed a COVID funding bill to push a $33bn legislature to inject into Ukraine fam
This is entirely relevant
I've not seen that but either way, the budgets not the reason reparations aren't happening

In a way, it is

Not a veto, just a total disregard for the bill
Saying a power that you actively support is “Using [disinformation] tools better than them” is absolutely defensive of misinformation and entirely hypocritical to everything you’ve stood for itt
No it's not lol
If somebody is using a tactic more effectively, they're better at using the tactic
Doesn't mean the tactic is good

India would take the L so quick lmao wtf
They're not really related issues though, if it wasnt Ukraine the money would be wasted somewhere else, it's not like theirs X available to spend and the reparations budget is being squeezed to spend on ukraine it just never existed
I mean it's not like they use different sources for funding this lol
They def could be spending that money on other s***, dont rly understand wym

I wasn't very clear my main point is that among the factors which prevent reparations and reparation adjacent legislation, budget is less important its a political and cultural issue first

I mean ofc it's not a matter of budgetary concerns, it's about political will, which is the point they were making i think

I can see a conflict breaking out in that region, but most likely over himalayas water sources
India surely knows that's a horrendous idsa

Yeah I just don't see how the two are related. Could just as well say why are we funding Ukraine war when we could fund nationwide transit or nuclear energy or any issue of choice. Bringing up reparations seems arbitrary
Russia isn't trustworthy so obv consequence of their actions
There is this proverb we use in Farsi that perfectly describes what Putin is doing
Tof-E-Sar Bala
It means spittting 90 degrees up into the air so that it hits you right back in the face. Exactly what Putin is doing 😆

these stupid mfs
no s*** that Finland and other countries want to join NATO asap.
idk what's going on with the russian army, the hierarchy is supposed to prevent this kind of stuffs to happen. but it seems that soldiers there can do whatever they want
There won't be much change when Putin dies. Someone in his circle, likely just as conservative and extremist, will take over. They say it's already known who will take his place after he dies. The only ones that can change their country is the Russian population

This would imply that other armies aren’t rife with a lack of ROE enforcement

The problem of the Russian army is it is too hierarchical
They haven't grasped mission command. Being a dictatorship, the top rungs are under pressure to tell putin what he wants to hear
The result is pure incompetence as we see now
