Yes, the world is lucky that ended up being the outcome and a crisis was averted. There was no way to predict the future WHILE a nuclear power plant was being actively shelled. The fact that they carelessly attacked a nuclear power plant at all is the issue at hand here.

Ukraine is already in a full on war with a country that’s 1000x stronger than them. Why wouldn’t they keep asking for help? If Russia starts nuking the world over Ukraine, which by the way is never going to happen based on what intelligence experts say, that’s on Russia.

Continuously asking for help has gotten them international support both humanitarian and weapon and people from abroad have signed up to join their foreign legion to fight for them. At the very least, by continuously asking for NFZ, etc., they are relaying the message that what they have now is not sufficient and countries are continuously finding other ways to help them in response.
