"when asked if joining Russia will ultimately make life better for them and their family, 73.9% said yes"
Makes sense when you realize they're overwhelmingly Russian and Ukrainian law forces service workers to speak Ukrainian against their customers
Dude deleted it lol
People are dying hiding in basements and dude in here talking about i'm h****
thought i was in another thread
it was an honest mistake
Dudes still spouting that “NATO expansion lead to this invasion” lol. Russia invading Ukraine is justification for the existence of NATO, and if Nato weren’t a thing Putin would have Romania, Poland neighboring countries.
But it seems like Ukraine is gonna suffer the same fate as Chechnya, Georgia other former SSR states, which is a shame since it seems western nations learned little from past Russian aggression.
Mf complaining he is h**** in a war thread
The audacity
h**** for justice and the safety of the common people
dont get it twisted
Anytime I turn on the news and see people weeping at the horror and inhumanity, this literally what it feels like:
This is the sentiment from a lot of non-whites, especially those who are of an immigrant background and even more so from people whose country or region has been brutalized by a Western or Western backed military in a way that makes Ukraine look not so bad.
It's a stark and sad reminder for us that in their eyes, our humanity still doesn't match up with those of white people despite explicit forms of colonialism not being there anymore.
Like people on here say they haven't seen anybody who doesn't celebrate Zelensky or doesn't have a more nuanced view of the situation than ZELENSKY GOOD NATO GOOD PUTIN BAD. That just tells me you don't know anybody with an immigrant background
The reaction to this from Westerners and non-Westerners that I know has been night and day, both on social media and irl
This will create an even bigger divide in the West by the way, especially in Europe where you've never seen this openness to refugees before, and the people who came from those countries are very well aware of that

Famous Russian propaganda outlet, France24:
"Lawmakers in 2019 passed legislation to cement Ukrainian as the country's primary language, ordering middle schools that taught in Russian and other minority languages to make the switch and mandating Ukrainian versions of online stores.
An article of the laws that entered into force in January goes further, obliging shops, restaurants and the service industry to engage customers in Ukrainian unless clients specifically ask to switch."
