The reality on the ground is different, and the Crimean people actually want to be part of Russia. They won't get it back by a referendum or anything, it will have to be done by an invasion, and if Zelensky thinks they'll be greeted as liberators he's even more delusional than Russian nationalists who think Western Ukraine wants to be part of Russia
