as a fatd and clb enjoyer idk i like both

I’ve never cared about cohesion or the structure of an album. After the first few listens, I almost never listen again in order. What’s more important to me is the quality of music we receive when he drops the project. I haven’t really had any complaints about his output this decade.

I wonder what transition, if there is any, is next for Drake musically in his 40’s.

    It’s all relative man

    Being tough is a spectrum

The nigga obviously ain’t Beanie Sigel and he ain’t about to square up with real gangsters but he has shown more than enough heart to talk how he talk in his raps that was really what I was getting at

And again most of the time when he raps about violence he is speaking from the perspective of being a general and calling shots not doing the s*** himself so that’s not cap

Only time he’s referenced getting violent himself is during the beef when he challenged Dot to a fade and I think he would really do that for real

Also resilience is a type of toughness

Having tough skin is also a type of toughness

bruh wanted papi to shoot a nigga up with security for peeing on him to prove he is "tough"

I’m not mad at your stance, all I’m saying is there are people that aren’t necessarily biased against Drake who don’t care for how he portrays himself in the music and may lean away from it for that reason.

Your points are valid tho, I think we just stand on two different parts of a spectrum

I know this isn’t a popular take… but I enjoy the playlist approach. He adapted to the way people consume music and still gave us classics, so, to me it showed he’s not just versatile in his music, but also his approach to creating/delivering albums. Personally, I listen to his albums from front to back and don’t just pick out my favorite songs here and there, but I like that people have the option to do that and he made it more accessible.

To take it a step further, I’ve never really cared about reception of his albums. Take Care was s*** on when he dropped it too. Regardless of how people try to rewrite history on here lol.

It’s funny because Drake could hop on IG and troll the s*** out of this clown for this and for pushing his album back lol but he genuinely doesn’t care about this dude.

Ironically, Hov rapped “I was gonna kill a couple rappers but they did it to themselves” 😂😂
