I don't know if I would give drake that much grace, dude is a veteran, okay lets say early on he didn't really know how kendrick was gonna play it. But after he dropped euphoria and 6:16, he should have known kendrick was not going to back down, and should have also known he was going to drop something vicious as a reply because Family matters had wife beating allegations. I think when you are taking it that far it shoulda be a given to be ready to respond

i hear you, he def should've pivoted, stuff like this at this scale needs to be given a ton of finesse. He can't rely on one bomb. He liked a few posts on IG that basically said "this is it?" when euphoria dropped, kind of giving u the message that that's all u got? and 6:16 was pivotal because the nigga went again so now for drake u gotta understand he on timing timing. Lack of planning UNLESS we see stuff in the future, round two or whatever but so far, yea u right he didn't plan it as well as I thought he would've

IF theres a round two, it gotta be accompanied by reciepts. Otherwise people won't care. We will love it cause we want Drake to win and win handedly. But the general public across the board won't be moved by subs, or even a direct track that doesn't either have a unique new angle or actual reciepts. Whatchu think bro?

Yeah it's weird because that's one of those songs I only really listen to when I'm by myself. Just so many different memories with that song and the emotions attached to those memories are all different.

The memories with that song remind me so much of this Drake bar, "Some nights I wish I could go back in life Not to change s***, just to feel a couple things twice"

he also needed to sound a little bit upset, i think drake isnt a super serious guy but him taking that nonchalant approach to the songs i think wasnt as well received when kendrick sounded genuinely angry

people were comparing drake claiming kendricks kid aint his to kendrick saying "fuck you" basically, thats the impact kendricks perceived anger had in the beef

wouldve liked to see a bit more of the "punk ass lil sissy from the northside" type bars directed towards kendrick

I think once he realized Kendrick was never going to respond to THP6, Drake should have dropped the receipts. Even if Kendrick did drop another song to squash it, if the receipts are that damning they'll speak for themselves.

Should've would've could've... oh well. At least we got Family Matters out of it!

Good point. I think the only real anger we got was when he called Dot a piece of s*** THP6.

But if Drake genuinely doesn't hate Kendrick that's such a hard emotion to fake in music.

Have we ever gotten like a legitimately angry Drake? I guess maybe the 2nd verse of FM. But he sounded more confident and precise than he did angry.
