Next episode is in Copenhagen
I think Italy cuz of the whole Pinocchio thing

the theories are all lining up
βExceptionally wellβ is a massive stretch. It has 5 more songs than his last collab effort and did 150K less first week.
At best, itβs performed alright in a year when all new music across the board is down

An album like 4 Your Eyez Only is loved by J. Coleβs audience, but nobody outside of that would really call that album βbelovedβ
4YEO reputation actually did change alot tbh. Cole has strayed so far from what he was doing on that album at this point so it stands out a lot and the title track ended up being a classic.
"Drake catching the holy Spirit on that elevator beat. πππ" π
?
Robert youβre starting to piss me off
I think the biggest thing is cohesivness, its really a lost art, even for drake, Take Care doesn't feel like 20 songs cause its flows through, I think drakes biggest downfall was people letting him get away with the lack of cohesion on Scorpion, I think if he was slammed
a little harder on that CLB and FATD would have turned out a little different but those albums are still bangers, but I can tell im listening to a compilation of music not a single idea of an album
Idk...Scorpion does sound kinda cohesive to me

The original pre-COVID Certified Lover Boy definitely had a clear theme and an idea, you can even still feel the traces of it in the actual album though and I'll stand by that
I wish he fully committed to it but he added songs like Knife Talk and You Only Live Twice to it that made it more of a playlist. There IS a story he wanted to tell though. The title being a red herring and misdirect for an individual that has actually completely given up on his fairy tale love after being known as THE lover guy, now just bitter, resentful, and surrounded by surface level relationships. The songs are very over the top "toxic male", there's nothing really close to a love song despite the title
Actually a very dope concept

I feel it's always the harder rap songs that are added last and kinda ruin the concept.

Same with Scorpion. Word for word he said he had to "throw in a couple for Bron." He felt the need to give the world a few easily digestible pre-game/gym songs. Like the ones you're guaranteed to nod along with on first listen regardless of everything else
The concept album I described would have turned off a lot of people if he fully leaned into it, there's a lot of people that don't care for his relationship songs and just want the hard rap. He was a people pleaser until recently imo

Add the beefs before the album drops as well.
Most of Side A of Scorpion is in response to the beef with Pusha.
7am on Bridle Path was a Kanye diss

Iβm not with the rah rah
I am a dah dah
Was in response to a beef. He needs to stop getting in beefs
I just don't get why he starts a rollout for an album he hasn't yet finished, he did this with FATD. He's then scraping to record the other half of the album, whilst on a tour, with music being influenced and reacting to s*** going on in real time thus blurring original concept he had for the album and that's why we get random songs tacked on like Gently. Kanye started working like this towards the end too, just throwing s*** at the wall in the last quarter to get it over the line. You don't need to set a self imposed deadline on yourself.
For once just follow through with a full idea/concept, record the full album. Film all the music videos. Plan the marketing strategy then come out of hiding and present it to us with a pre-order link and date. No need to make the whole thing stressful every time and people are exhausted with it by the time it drops.

I wish I knew Drake personally to tell him this.
Oh and maybe select a cover art that fits with the music. OG CLB covers were hard. FATD he was out of ideas so got Adonis to draw a picture of a dog for f*** sake.

FATD cover art was a legitimately f*** you to UMG + fits some of the darker tracks in the album

Picking a trash cover really showed them
