This is another silly sentiment — the idea that his aim with his albums is to "get the most streams possible."
Room for Improvement has 20+ songs.
Comeback Season has 20+ songs.
Take Care (Deluxe) has 20 songs.
If You're Reading This It's Too Late has 17 songs.
All projects that dropped before streaming was a thing. He has ALWAYS made long projects. It's not some new thing he only started doing in the streaming era and just as well, he has always made shorter, more concise projects as well (Thank Me Later, Nothing Was the Same, WATTBA). And even in the streaming era, you've gotten 14-16 track projects like Dark Lane Demo Tapes, Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss.
I love how the Drake haters who say that Drake makes long albums to increase streaming numbers never have a rebuttal when you point out that Drake always had long albums pre streaming. It’s almost like they’re full of s*** and are just looking for arbitrary reasons to concern troll

TML was his first album and was label mandated and directed
Take Care, his
NWTS, 40 challenged him to be concise
You're wrong Fader
And leaving out SFG and IYRT to push a "studio album" narrative is crazy lmao nobody caries about studio album and mixtape designations, Drake certainly doesn't

Scorpion, FAT D, and $$$4U sort of hurting the pro-20+ track album argument for me,
Even CLB a little bloated and views sort of all over the place at times but theyre more tolerable
As opposed to HN and HL being very enjoyable to me,
I think 14-16 tracks is a good range and just cutting the fat but also I can understand the desire to make a bunch of tracks and give people as many as possible. My least fav could be someone else's favorite
But Drake's in a space where I think people got less patience for what he's got going on, outside of his seriously devoted fans, so idk if he can afford a bunch of filler on the record or people are going to just be calling it trash

Brother did the math on you b**** ass niggas
But it’s pretty obvious the idea with Drake albums is more songs equals more chances at hits
He gives no f***s about dropping a concise album with a theme

Yeah. I mean people need to just accept this too. Although it was really cool to see him drop HN, genuinely.

You’re right, but they’re gonna dismiss this as “just your opinion” as if the general consensus of Drake projects post-2015 hasn’t been extremely mixed across the board

Like all Drake albums, its going to do well on the charts and with the public and the haters are going to cry as always. Nothing will change

They won’t count worth a damn unless they’re ready to ship first week, which means the album (or at least half of it) would have to be done and turned in months before the release date. With the way Drake works on albums up until the very night they release, that seems unlikely.
Also with the way he’s spoken about bundles in the past, he seems too prideful to resort to that tactic for numbers. Hopefully I’m wrong because it would be great for him to finally return to physicals, but I just doubt that he does it

"Let's leave out the two all Drake projects and leave in the collab album and the one where his producer challenged him to be concise"
crazy how drakes best projects have the least amount of songs
drizzy really loves dropping doo doo on you losers
